Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Benji was super upbeat after the Broncos game.

Luai is back.

Skelton & Sam Fainu potentially back.

Knights without a few players & coming off getting blotted by a team that just outworked them.

I just get the feeling that the Tigers are close to a performance or two. Luai won't be second fiddle all season.

To secure a victory against the Knights this weekend I think we need to capitalise on the injuries to their lineup. Not specifically the individuals, but how we focus our own strengths on the disadvantages of having key players out injured.

In the previous encounter with the Knights, we struggled to convert opportunities into points. We were very clunky in attack, but have started to pull it together in recent weeks. This will be difficult for us if Luai is not available due to injury with Latu having to sit out the week due to concussion protocols. Let's hope one week was enough for him to recover.

Having a duck egg on the board last week the Knights will also be keen to get some points on the board. Ponga remains a significant offensive threat and will be a pivotal part of their offensive plan. Our defence will need to be cohesive and communicative to defeatwhat happens around him. I think our defensive strategy last game was not too far of the mark. If we maintain a similar plan that what we had against the Donkeys we will be well into the contest. I would tweak it slightly to be a little more up and in as the Knights halves do not impose as much of a kicking threat as Hunt and Reynolds did on the weekend and if we can shut down space for Ponga he will be less of a threat.

I know they lost Shiller early to concussion but it seemed like Sharpe had no space at all to run. We need to take a page out of the dogs book regarding that as we gave him far too much room to move last game.
