Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I was just reading the article about how it's impossible for the NRL to police characters in our game like Gus Gould, that can basically poach a player prior to Nov 1. Are the NRL for f...king real? It's easy to police. You simply cant be the GM of a football club and also have media role. Gus is forced to make a choice and it's done and dusted. The NRL has the backbone of jellyfish so nothing will ever happen.

Sounds like self entitled like Galvin tho

Lomax certainly has an ego there is no doubt about that but i don't see him believing he is either bigger than a club or more important than the other players at the club.Galvin reeks of arrogance and poor attitude,it is possibly not all his fault as it is obvious that at least one family member has the same attitude and is reinforcing the problem.

we hold the cards now. Galvan and his team won’t want to hang about for a season and two thirds. For a 19 year old kid that’s forever, particularly in a hostile environment. But we can hold him and play him in lower grades, backup for injury, etc. and basically just use him up. If a rival club wants him early then a top drawer player swap. A transfer fee might appeal to Richo as a financially responsible CEO, but fans don’t really care about that. Fans care about wins and player signings.
If anything, the dressing room will be even more motivated now to stick it up the critics…and to show Galvan he is not required.
Second row in NSW Cup. He’s cheap enough we can afford it unless someone makes us an offer we can’t refuse. Initially I was happy enough for him to be used as needed but he’s starting to give off Jackson Hastings vibes.

He’s in cup this week sources say
1. Heath Mason 2. Izaac Tu’itupou Thompson 3. Solomona Faataape 4. Josh Feledy 5. Alexander Lobb 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Kurt Falls 8. Kit Laulilii 9. Tristan Hope 10. Vaka Aho 11. Tony Sukkar 12. Elie El-Zakhem 13. Charlie Murray 14. Bailey Hodges 15. Jaxson Rahme 16. Reuben Porter 17. Eiden Ackland 18. Jayden Tanner

Pretty sure Lomax threw his toys out of the cot because Flanno wanted him to play on the wing. He is no doubt a great player but the warning signs are there.

I will feel sorry for the number 6 who has lost his spot to this disloyal grub.

Nah it was deeper than that . It was a long history with the club , playing group , and then flanno was just the icing on the cake .

Adam Reynolds

With Broncos having to manage a tight salary cap and with Hunt & Mam likely halves next year, how does everyone feel about a one-season cameo by Adam Reynolds (turns 36 next year) followed by an assistant coaching role at WT? Could he complete the mentorship of Latu Fainu who could play utility next year plus be our goal kicker?

Injury prone but still one of the best game managers & kickers in the comp (as we know)!
Strong relationship with Richo from Rabbitohs days who did a few of his contracts!
Yes his family is settled in Brisbane but a $750k contract + future role may change his mind!

Excerpt from a story in 2021 (link):

A further sign that Reynolds is leaving on good terms is his recent decision to join the client list of Rich Digital, the sports consultancy founded by former Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson and his son Brent, who will help look after the halfback’s off-field interests in Brisbane.

If we consider DCE, why not Reynolds! Just putting it out there for comment.
