In a real world scenario, are you going to sit in a job or take a new job if there is multiple people in the same role and you are unlikely to progress if they stay long term because they’re ahead of you?

I agree that we shouldn’t bend over to requests from unproven talent but I can completely understand where this one is coming from and it was absolutely a reasonable request by his management.

One thing I really respect of the club is that Richo has always said that members will here it from him first and the statement on Galvin rejecting the deal he lived up to that and came out to the members first.

People might not like that but you have to respect the honesty and up front nature.

Are you suggesting Large should’ve requested a get out clause if Walsh stays? Not quite sure what your point is here.

I’d say Walsh and Large are essentially on par with each other.

I can’t see why we aren’t going for a game managing kicking half that’s potentially getting just over 500k over the next 3 years at 31.
He’ll be 34 when it’s done. Heck you could even push it to a 4 year contract to lock him in.
