Well I have to confess that I stuck up for AJ after his eye surgery or whatever it was, thinking there would be a big improvement in his ball handling and then when he bulked up I thought he could go alright in the second row.Well he had the eye surgery, maybe he can see his flippers now
You been reading my mind? Will be supporting the Sharks next weekend and every team that plays against Parramatta. Really hoping they run stone motherless and get picked apart by expansion clubs.
Defensively he can't be worse then nadenWithout looking too closely into it other than watching highlights on BarTV and looking at the weekly stats, I would say he appears to have improved his ability under the high ball and improved his general ball handling, but I suspect his poor defensive reads and lack of football IQ is still an issue preventing the Panthers from considering him as a genuine NRL option.
Anyway it’s all speculation at the moment as we are just going off the post on this thread from earlier today, for all we know there may be nothing to it.
For the record I’d be looking to try and extend Brent Naden for another season, he might cost a bit more than someone like Kepaoa, but seems to be a much more reliable back up option for our outside backs.
I think he was only about 14 at the time.Pretty sure he switched to Union as a young lad, even before Harold Matts?
No way.
That is extraordinary money for a player who gets bashed up all game every week. He’ll start copping some injuries soon. You can’t be in the front row playing like he does forever.
Look how big JT came back to the field after a few years of being a superhero. It’s not sustainable.
We need to get more offensive output from our backrow , it’s our major flaw.PREACH!!
Same thing we're doing with May....
Everyone is marvelling his stats, He's doing not much more than 2 Props would be doing with the same minutes.
I love how he plays (Don't get me wrong) but flogging the crap out of him is just taking the focus off our shitty interchanging and under-strength Bench and isn't sustainable.

With both his parents in jail, Payne is now the sole care giver/guardian for two of his younger siblings. They are currently in school up in QLD so there is little to no chance Haas leaves Brisbane as the younger brothers are on scholarships and older brother is in a wheelchair.Payne Hass under the radar available to talk to clubs November 1st.
Brisbane having some cap problems as well with Staggs, Cobbo and Walsh all off contract too.
All that money saved up from Galvin, Papalili, Klemmer and Stefano. I’d be throwing it all at him and then some.
May and May to build our pack around for that next decade would be something special.
That is why I'd actually go hard to sign Lazarus Vaalepu from the Storm to provide cover for Royce if/when he's injured or even usurp him. He's from western Sydney I believe, is a powerhouse, experienced and been in the Storm system. And off-contract now.I'd also argue our Bench Domestic prop isn't at the level it should be either, And we don't get a lot of minutes out of Royce usually...
Sam Fainu has been really off the boil this year, Surprised it's not mentioned more.... Seyfarth is Seyfarth and Bird usually goes to Lock and Pushes Twal to front (From bits I've noticed) Unless he's needed elsewhere, Carrying a Utility like Bird and a Specialist Hooker as well is a recipe for disaster for mine - But what would would I know...
No real Punch or Dynamic in a lot of it, I'm interested to see how long it keeps up or what happens with an injury. getting 40 odd put on us by the team coming last without Royce might be an indication?
Last year. Is in our Jersey Flegg squad this year and was one of our best players in the Flegg trials.Didn’t he play SG ball for Balmain this year ?
All good points. How long can TM keepI'd also argue our Bench Domestic prop isn't at the level it should be either, And we don't get a lot of minutes out of Royce usually...

I agree, but it's also worth noting that they really don't have anything anyone ought to want. If I'm running roster construction for the Perth Bears, who am I genuinely interested in out of Parra? Moses isn't going anywhere and Lomax has only just signed - really what else is there? Iongi is a decent runner but could easily be a flash in the pan. Willy Penis is ok. Hopgood is another back rower Brad Arthur and Moses made look good for a year or two. The rest of their roster is dross, or past it dross. Will be supporting the Sharks next weekend and every team that plays against Parramatta. Really hoping they run stone motherless and get picked apart by expansion clubs.
I gotta disagree here... I think him & Luais combination has been getting better every week & he himself is growing in confidence every game.I'd also argue our Bench Domestic prop isn't at the level it should be either, And we don't get a lot of minutes out of Royce usually...

I do agree that the Perth team will be looking at at least a few of our players. There is no doubt we will lose a player or 2 Nov 1 to Perth and the following Nov 1 to PNG. Most clubs will likely lose someone.
Hopefully for us it's just a player/s off-contract who is depth and sees a better opportunity of first 17 at the new franchise.
I'd say this is part of the reason why the club wanted to know the Galvin situation now, so one way or another, we can attempt to extend players now or work to recruit players in now.
Players I feel may be approached as soon as Perth's recruitment team is assembled are Doueihi, Naden, Feledy & Staines. Then come Nov 1, Starford, Api, TDS, Skelton & Bird will be gauged no doubt.
I wouldn't think the Laulilii brothers would want to leave their family at their age.
So Richo will be trying to sort out our hooker situation long-term asap as well as extend Starford & Jeral.
I also think keeping the Fainu brothers together & even bringing together the May brothers would be calculated long-term investments.
Thoughts?
That dross roster taught ours a lesson last week.I agree, but it's also worth noting that they really don't have anything anyone ought to want.
