Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He only turned 20 in Feb and is playing nsw cup front row. Props don't hit their straps usually to 23 at least. No rush for him
Watching him last year we he was a boy playing against men and failed to make an impact. However, he must have worked hard over the off season and actually has a physical presence when carrying the ball or hitting in defence. Should only get stronger over the next couple of years.

One of our few pathways players who seems to be trending in an upwards direction. Hopefully him and his brother get some luck on the injury front and can develop their game further.

I liken him a bit to Moses Leota who only made his NSW Cup & later NRL debut at age 21 after coming up through the grades at Penrith. It wasn't until he was 23 that he had cemented his 1st grade spot. So I'm happy to give Kit time to gradually develop his body & game.

David Nofoaluma joins new club Halifax Panthers who compete in the second tier of the ESL lol
Any idea what sort of money you would get playing at a lower tier club over there.

Would it be enough to live on over there or would you need a job as well.

Would be alright as a working holiday type of thing and to keep you fit and playing a game that you love I suppose.

I think you are way off the mark here, Go look at any junior rep sides from under 14 upwards and they are all dominantly filled with islander boys and they bond together with all their different cultures with no issues.
Sides are dominated by boys with islander heritage because they have the body shape and size that is best suited to Rugby League,
Where as (as you call them) the white boys dominate in AFL.
But most of all kids today mix and get on well with most other nationalities regardless of their colour or religion.
Yeah agree if Galvin or TDS feel like they don't fit in it's on them, if you are friendly and join in with their banter having a laugh with the group I can't see how anyone would have any problems fitting in.

Galvin in particular has bought it on himself with his attitude of Benji's coaching being not good enough and his recent crap games can understand why he would be on the nose, unrepairable in my opinion, be lucky to see out the rest of the year.

Well fellow tiger fans it’s good to be back after may 4 weeks in Alaska , if ur looking for somewhere to go I suggest u look at going to Alaska , it is stunning.

Well is are team falling apart after a 64 point hiding , then beaten by an under strength Souths team , the lack of depth is maybe sinking in , by that I mean we can’t rotate players .

Can’t believe we haven’t signed mays brother yet , Bennett will end up stealing him from under us .

When you're playing rep footy as a kid you train with these guys once or twice a week and then see them on the weekend. You see your schoolmates and other mates the whole week.

At a professional level, they're your co-workers. You see them just about every day and are at the facility with them all week, travel with them etc.

You can't compare these relationships.

There's nothing inherently wrong with Islanders or Islander culture, but it's pretty clear why these guys could feel like outsiders in a workplace environment that is unfamiliar to them as young blokes.

Souths don’t need outside backs they need better luck with injuries
