Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We should have signed Hassett when we had the chance. So many on the forum didn't want him because they thought he was 'undersized'. He's always been a talent and as I said almost a year ago, he's essentially the same size as Liam Martin. Unfortunately we're stuck with Seyfarth as a starting second rower.

Unfortunately it might be too late, as it looks like he might become a regular in the Penrith squad. Hassett, KPP, Taylan May and Tyrone would be 4 ideal signings which would address our weaknesses in the starting side, bench and depth.

We really need to stop judging players on their appearance and actually look at their performances and what skills/attributes they offer to the starting side. Hope we can somehow jag him still with KPP (Samuela, KPP and Hassett would be great), but if not it's onto the next.
Where were all these comments prior to last week? Hassett scores a try and people come from everywhere. Would love to know how many times his name was mentioned on here in the 3 months prior to last week vs since last Sunday. My guess is it's the latter.

Playing 30 minutes of first grade in a team getting pumped doesn't prove anything. Not convinced yet that he is any better than Sukkar and he's a depth player at most clubs.

Seyfarth is only starting second rower because we took too long to get rid of Bateman and didn't have time to get a replacement. KPP addresses this.

Wasn't it Gould who said Da Silva was ready to start in the NRL? Did he say that as GM of Football for a club which competes with WTs or, as a commentator for Ch9? Again what policies are in place relating to conflict of interest at the Bulldogs, Ch9 and the NRL?
The NRL are piss weak pocket liners, and PTVL loves the air time it gets him. They give zero firetrucks about the game of rugby league except for the perceived power and massive pay checks it throws at them. Abdo gets $1.55 million to play a puppet. It’s not Tom Cruise stakes but I bet any Oz actor would be happy with that.

If we extend Koroisau, I don't blame Da Silva one bit for wanting out.

He's a talented kid and wants to be starting for a team, which I think in the next couple of years, he absolutely will be good enough to do so.

Expecting him to stay to sit on the bench / in reserves and be happy with it is delusional.
Harry grant was a back up till a lot older than TDS, is he better than Harry and how old was the goat before he retired

It is much different. Melbourne can afford to develop players and give them starting roles when they are older. We can’t.

Also ..Players are going to act in what they think are their own best interests …not the clubs … anyone here saying otherwise would have a much different view if it was their kid facing the choice I would suspect …

I love Api, but do we really want to sacrifice potentially having TDS for 10 years to get an extra year or two out of Api?
i tend to agree, if we table TDS a long contract at the expense of api, i can get behind api going to bears or wherever for a pay day, knowing we have a spine position tied up to work around.
if we were in our premiership window, i would be holding api and going all in for that title and letting TDS go and work with haywood or another junior

I think we need to make a play for Jack ‘Ole King’ Cole.
He couldn’t crack the Penrith side missing everybody last week so he’s probably a tad peeved.
He’s a talented pivot with potential to be the next Kurt Falls 👍

We definitely aren’t going to be in a premiership window in the next 12 months. TDS isn’t worth losing to get an extra year out of Api. Api is the one who should be told to explore his options beyond 26.

The only bullying going on is from Isaac. Everyone knows that.
The threat is empty.
I Don't believe the accusations either, though there are people in the media claiming that there's more to it than what everyone knows. I'm sure other things may have happened and been said, I doubt that it could be deemed bullying though
