That is if money is the driver for TDS. I'm not sure if they are trying to pressure the club into more money or favourable contract conditions for if Api is killing it and is extended. The agent opened the media door with his initial statement about TDS leaving if Api extends, which in my book is a grub tactic, but the rest of it seems to be the media making up stories to keep the headline going.Yeah I agree when if we settle on 500-600 that works I reckon
This should have been as simple as TDS and his manager having a chat to Richo about how to structure a contract that rewards TDS for his development but does not impede his progress if Api is extended. As I mentioned previously, there is a deal to be done, it just has to be structured right to provide support to both players and the club.
FFS Tallyn is still learning, he could be great by season 27 or he could be still sharing the role with Api. The ball is in his court based on performance, both his and Api's. We, as in the club, need to have options if Api starts to drop off or if Tallyn peaks short of expectations.
If the real driver for Tallyn is a guaranteed FG spot he needs to be looking elsewhere; however, there is no guarantees in this game. He could sign for another club in Nov only for them to have a coach sacked and change direction. Footy is a risk based game, and so are the contracts that go with it.
