13. Terrell May
12. Fifita
11. Pearce-Paul
10. Sam Fainu
9. Koroisau
8. Pole

14. Sione Fainu
15. Twal
16. Tyrone May
17. Da Silva

Is a scary proposition. Seyfarth, Hunt, Bird, Sukkar, Kit etc all in the wings...
I don't mind Sam back to the middle at some point, but I think it's a way off and it would work better once he grows into his body around 24/25 y.o.

That being said, he may continue to rise in quality as an edge and make himself immovable from that position too.

He's such an exciting prospect to see grow.

Suggesting playing Sam in the middle is a classic example of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. He’s only 21. It won’t happen overnight, but he has all the ingredients to be an elite back rower. Guys like Luai, Turuva and May get all the headlines for signings we have made recently, but in the long term, I think he will Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon them all.

KPP was copping it for weeks. One good game and people have done an immediate 180.
I wanted the club to sign him from the UK but the Knights were in first. 6ft 6inch, mobile, good defender with the ability to unload the ball in tackles consistently. There is a lot to like about his game and untapped potential. He has been playing well, with good stats, although very underused due to his coach. I am looking forward to him joining WTs.

I think that's because it can only take 1 game to see proof of concept.

Many Tigers fans were of the bullish belief, rightly or wrongly, that he has been utilised poorly at Newcastle and that he is higher quality than maybe what he's shown thus far.

Full disclosure, that wasn't my opinion. I actually hadn't seen enough of him either way to have an opinion.

A game like he played last night gives some credence to those claims, whereas prior, I think it was more hopeful than anything.

I think Sam has the makings of a great player.

I also think that KPP & Fifita on the edges helps the club more, now.

Also, I keep saying it, we lack that enforcer/physicality that good teams have. Sam is the most likely guy on the roster to be that guy. Unless we are adding an aplha from outside that causes the ball runner to look up & see where they are getting whacked from, I think Sam is the guy.

That all said, given the versatility of the forward pack, you could move Fifita to #13, Sam back out wide & still be as effective.

The Fifita recruitment issue, it’s all about price isn’t it?

If it’s the range, we might do worse than give him a chance.
To a degree.

It's risk/reward.

For Fifita, if he's 'on', he's worth a bucketload.

But, if he gets lazy...

I think it's more about 'how easily can you get out of the contract if it's not working'.

Idk about Fifita. Absolutely elite when he’s on, but is it not a red flag that a struggling club like the Titans are willing to let him go? All signs point to attitude problems. Not something we have a history of rectifying in players.

Myself and quite a few others on here picked and sticked with the choice of recruiting him.
His height and handy pace for a big guy was screaming out for taking up our right 2nd row spot.
Was never concerned what he is doing at the Knights only worry about what he does for us if we land him, he fits the mold perfectly for us.

Agreed. Which is why you add a bunch of mutual options to the contract & never assume he is your long term answer.

2 good seasons at the Broncos before he went south.

4 pretty good seasons in a poor team before going south in the 5th.

I think, if he's not the guy you rely on, he's fine. For all his poor play this year, he's on 93% tackle effeciency & averaging 100m a game....it's better than what we put on the field!

more than price, he’s super unhappy at the club and there’s a bit of mental health stuff going on too

unfortunately players around him think he’s lazy and not committed to footy anymore
