Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Some of the posts on this forum seriously confuse me.

We have a top 3 prop in the game (May) and people want to move him to lock.

Then some want to move our player of the year last year (Samuela) from back row (where he won POTY) to prop.

Thank god the forum doesn’t coach the team 😀
We are soft as Wendy's through the middle. Even with a Top 3 prop in May.

If there is a hard man available in the squad, or elsewhere, that can stiffen up the defence through the middle- then add them.

But until then, Sam is still the most likely to dominate in defence we have.

What May does very well is take hit-ups through the middle.

Kind of like Taumalolo. Who plays #13 as well as front row.

I really don't get us.

Fifita is a generational talent. The talent hasn't gone he is just hating life where he is at. Dudes still.mid 20s.

Will be our best forward since Ellis.

Well.him.amd may
He'd walk straight into our team and shit on most of our current mob. Some people dreaming of players like Hass and Olokuatu (forgive my spelling) need a reality check.

This is where Benji gets his best ideas. (Hi Benji)

Yeah very similar. Less tackle busts with the runs though and more offload versatility. Hopefully he doesn’t burn out like JT has.

is it just me or do others also want NO backs signings.

We have two stars on the horizon in Luke Luuali and Makasini, Luke ready now, Maka hopefully mid next season. Then we have other kids who will likely push for selection late next season.

Our current backline as selected this week, is top 8 standard, in my opinion, but mid term, 2 will drop out for injuries or because Maka and L Luuali push them out.

We have Heath Mason and Latu Feinu competing for 6, and we really want to keep them both. As well Jarred Haywood can play 6 and there is also other cover plus Bud potentially coming back.

We desperately need middles and edge... we should have the dollars for an elite middle at that.

I do not need see the need for any backs.. I think we should concentrate on an elite prop to help us get the rolls on thru the middle and stop the current inevitable rot that occurs every game where we just open up thru the middle, sometimes 10 minutes a game, sometimes more... we need to fix that to make the 8.

Throw 1.5 at Haas or the next best after him. We will have the dollars. KPP is a good solution on the edge.
It's not that I don't want news backs upgraded ...but the forwards HAVE to be the priority for the short term

Would love for Knights to release him this year, especially with Dom Young going there soon. But i figure with AOB's job on the line he'll hold firm for whatever he can manage this year.
I still wouldn't rule out KPP coming early after Dom Young is transferred to Newcastle and they have to stump up salary $$$. KPP might just be the first domino at this stage.

Big mobile young second rower who is a 1st grade starter in NRL on a team that has a decent forward pack.

I think it's a really smart signing and he's an obvious upgrade to Seyfarth. He's the sort of solid dependable player that the Storm would be interested in. He may not always flash like he did yesterday, but he has the physical attributes to have that sort of impact. His more usual form is still solid and better than what we have. Well done Tigers.
