Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Our first 13 and first 17 are still not good enough to be a genuine top 8 team, we lack class, speed and genuine attacking threat.
If we do not sign 2-3 quality players in addition to KPP we will be in this same position again next season.
Today again showed us how good Latu Fainu is, but he played as a 13, not as a 6 or 7, so do we groom him to be our regular number 13, or are we going to see how he goes as Luai’s halves partner for the rest of this season ?
Hopefully we have a plan of some sort as we need a 7 or 6 if we are looking at Latu Fainu as a 13.
Based on Benji’s post match comments, he still sees him as a half.

I noticed Mason falling off a few tackles, the stats say he missed 11.

I’d be swapping their positions next match. Latu will be better wider.

Some calls to be made for our off contract players

Tumeth - farewell
Matamua - farewell

Naden? Time to move on
Feledy? Eh, perhaps a cup contract?
Staines? Good back up, depth option.
Douihei? Not sure.

We need some better options tbf
if they jiggle the roster properly , Staines ,Do he ,stays and Feledyis on lunch money

I think the whole 11 missed tackles were probably in the first half as his defence seemed much better in the 2nd half, maybe a rev up at halftime.
I really like Heath as a player, but I just think he needs more time in NSW Cup to work on his game in the halves including his defence as he’s has played most of his games over the last couple of seasons at fullback.

Heath looked like that wasn't his game,to panic his spot

im not ragging him , he's a keeper , put in some nice kicks thru relaxing ,really like his defence , his good at totally tripping them on their back as a 3rd man in ,lol, around the ankle , could be Taylan's better,if be

Gotta give you peeps credit... since we signed Terrell we've only signed one other new player and in that time you have still managed 1,185 pages of content.

I skip a lot of it, but that's only because I also have a full-time job.
what , your just kicking back now, wow

Latu just came back from a lengthy absence and they brought him back off the bench … I expect him to starting in the halves next time,,,,

They definitely need another new 3 NRL ready players join the team for next season if they are looking for a further leap forward…the squad is still not good enough

Congrats to the NRL standard players who carried the passengers yesterday.
At what point does the team give up on a backrower who consistently makes no yardage. averages 2 post contact metres per run and misses 6 tackles at an efficiency of 82%?
It must be heartbreaking for someone like May to have to carry the burden of the extra work he has to do.
If we had KPP yesterday we win easy, you just can't carry the deadwood we have.

Bit harsh calling them deadwood. Having said that no argument we need at least 3 upgrades to improve results. If we can retain the existing players we want keep as well we'll finally have some reasonable depth.

We also have the most overrated by our own fans, fullback in the game.
Looking at it with an unbiased eye Bula is in the bottom three fullbacks in the NRL.
He still lacks involvement, he was invisible in the first half.
He also lacks basic football instinct of when to get involved and how to create space and opportunities when he does. He constantly crowds his outside men.
He is a naturally gifted player with no idea at all how to make those gifts valuable to his team because his football I.Q. is so low.
Poor Jarome was left to do all the creating yesterday and he nearly pulled it off. Hats off to him.
Final point, we are now 0-6 when Seyfarth and Sukkar are in the 17, if we pick them together again next game we will be 0-7. You just can't carry 2 forwards who offer nothing on both sides of the ball.
