Some serious juggling is going on behind the scenes, all our money from this years cap is trying to pay others for next year.
If we can get Matulino medically retired we open a roster spot & free up some $ to sign some mid-range/depth players.
McQueen is close to securing his future elsewhere & Reynolds has some interest but a release for Josh may change if he performs at 9.
Madges priority is a aggressive/impact Prop,, Center & Hooker. Ramien not out of the question but Cowboys throwing good $
Also Madge has put a major importance on future/junior talent. There will be a huge turnover in the lower grades.
For 2020 we don’t have a lot of $ to throw around unless we do move some player on, but also don’t believe the media saying we will pay at least half to move on players, that’s not the case.
Come 2021 we have a $$$$$$

@2005magic Unfortunately 2020 is up the creek before it started. Get excited for 2021 and 2022 but only if we're prudent with our cap and player selection. Looking forward to what Madge can deliver.

And hey, 2021 season isn't that far away. Only 562 days!

I have to remain hopefull we can move on Reynolds and Packer and Matulino can be medically retired. Prefer hope to crying......

Sounds really promising re: Juniors and Junior development, I have heard Madge is really strong on that.
Are you able to mention some of the candidates for those positions we are chasing?
Anything on C Scott?

@balmain-boy - we wouldn't. Can only assume it's one or the other. Whoever signs first for the money offered. I like it that both have versatility and can cover a few positions. Just what we need.

Thanks ..... that good to hear and with that I recon we won’t be world beaters next year but have some positives to look forward to. Particularly with the fact that our combinations will have another year to develop under steady guidance by Madge and his style of play. And the addition of couple of solid players will also help. I remain positive about our outlook ..... and great to see that out weakness in junior and cc ranks is being addressed.

Plus Marshall will be gone and grub might even be gone by then. Not to mention Packer. God knows what's happening with that guy. Is he still alive?

Pretty much. Packer I'm pretty sure has had surgery on his foot/toe

Was the injury caused by kicking stones? Better than when he was kicking heads I suppose...
