Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not only good retention but not on outlandish deals.

Tavana locked in for next season and will have the opportunity to cement a spot in NSW Cup and hopefully take his game to another level to warrant an elevated deal for 2027.

Havea Jr is arguably our best Harold Matts talent and was already locked in but will now progress to a Development contract in 2027. So it gives him next season to continue to develop in SG Ball and aim for Flegg.

Blake Van Drie is an undersized middle, who plays well above his weight, but brings great effort, leg speed & line speed. He's the type that sets standards and will have time to continue to physically develop and get stronger before moving onto a T&T for 2027.

Good work Wests Tigers! In years gone by, they'd all probably be development deals with guaranteed top 30 after that lol

never thought I’d be so happy just for someone to get a t&t!!!!!!
Richo is doing everything we’ve needed for so long.

I missed the bit he stood in front of a camera and anointed himself the next Andrew Johns. And the person, or people who may have mentioned him in the same breath also have an arsehole, just you like you and me.
No one said he anointed himself the next Andrew Johns. It was a matter of experts blaming the Tigers for not reaching that potential, whereas the truth is he reached it with us and it wasn't that spectacular. It took him to move teams to realise he didn't have an extra gear.

He unfairly copped a lot of blame and the expectation on him was huge based on this myth of unrealised potential, but he is what he is. He is no better or worse at Manly than he was with us, but I'm glad for him that he doesn't get so much scrutiny.

He always acted like a gentleman and never bagged the club, so I have no personal issue with him, but he wasn't the answer and we held on way too long.

The kid who played 3-4 matches for flegg and we got smashed by like 40 in each of them from memory?
The backs who started the season just weren't good enough. Craig, Piccirilli, Kanaan, Conti, Hammond etc, just not up to flegg level
All I asked was to see the stats in all the games he played in as a “backup” and if you can’t show that then me and poopys answer lays in front of us, it seems more of a personal matter the more I read into your debate with poppy diaper

Royce Hunt was good against Manly. 81 running metres in 20 mins. Some forwards don't make 80metres in 80 mins.
There’s definitely a place for him when he can provide that sort of output. Low minutes is fine when his running metres and PCM is high in that time. Having Terrell playing big minutes makes Royce’s role more viable too.

Zero tackle reporting hes a chance of going to Super League with Bird.

Royce is good when used right. He's a momentum player meaning almost exclusively only plays well when the Tigers have momentum and majority of possession. He only made 5 tackles last week because thats all that was needed which is great.

He can be a weapon when used right and gameplay permits.

Yep, hopefully the starting prop experiment is over. It is a specific set of circumstances where he is effective but as it stands he is in our best 17.

There were a few times his replacements weren't even getting on the field.

How much of a mess is the Titans roster??

The NAS rumor has been around for 2 years now it will be interesting if he does go to Rugby 360??
I don't think it's too much of a mess really. they need to make a decision on who their fullback and 5/8 is and move one of Brimson, Campbell and Kini on, and then find a steady hand at 7 that can steer the ship until Zane Harrison is ready.

they've got some excellent middle and edge forwards and speed and skill to burn in the backline. if they lose Tino and/or Fifita it's money they can funnel into the spine, which is a good thing.

unfortunately the way their cap's currently structured has coincided with Des losing his touch. if they manage to get Hannay they'll turn it around pretty quickly.

Unfortunately that’s their 3 best backs
