Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That’s not true this year. He has been doing a lot of organising, a lot of on field rev ups and motivation. Some decent defence and his running game has been very strong. His ball playing has also been up there with all other options.

AD also plays mostly right side and since he has taken the reigns it has provided more space & structure to the left side which has enabled Luai to find his spots towards the end of the season.

His running game in the middle, goal kicking and genuine improvement with defending this season - he offers & provided us more than just someone who puts it up.

This is our issue. On what we have now next years bench would be Latu Fainu/AD, Pole, Seyfarth, Sukkar.

Personally I’d like to see us target a starting prop and have both Sione and Pole come off the bench. Both Seyfarth and Sukkar who do a decent job need to be upgraded.
I think the bench is likely, Latu, Sione, Seyfarth & a new signing pending Hunt & Bird. There is also no reason Hope can't be on the bench for some games & Doueihi starts at 13 & Latu at 7. Pushing Pole to the bench & Twal to starting front row.

Bula, Turuva, TayMay, Toa, Makasini, Luai, Doueihi

TeMay, Api, Pole, Sam, KPP, Twal

Latu, Sione, Seyfarth...

Everyone is spot on with what we need for the final few spots.

2-3 middles (including a back up 13) plus preferably a right sided back.

Not to mention he’s won most of the games for us this year.

It appears the general concenous of WT Forum Members is that they have a top 13 run on side to compete with the top teams it is the lack of quality and impact from the bench and depth to cover injuries which is the main issue preventing WT challenging fir a title. KPP should allow Sione to go back to the bench with Pole. Either Hunt gets his fitness level up in the off-season to be tge impact player WT need on move on. Hopefully Kit can come into consideration.
A quality Lock and impact Fronr Rower would move WT into a semi final team.
Love to see Sam, AD and Starford gave an injury free season as they have all shown moments of class but WT need more of it from each player.
Taylan May with a full off-season could be the premier Centre in 2026.

Does anyone know where we can find a halfback for next season? We need a leader, an organiser, a kicker.

The boys tried but it was complete chaos out there when we had the ball. No plan.
It was a massive problem yesterday our 5th tackle options at times yesterday were atrocious. When Samuela is being tackled with the ball on the last tackle 35 metres out from the opposition try line there's a problem.

i hope there’s some sort of change with our assistants or coaching staff in the off season, aob had the knights defending very well for most years just lacked attack. raiders are changing attack coaches. i think they’d have something to offer to help benji
Aob is an Isaac Moses client isn't he?😨

The Daily Telegraph/Code Sports released the games top 100 highest paid players, with only 4 Tigers players featuring. Rank and salary below:

76th - Jahream Bula (675k)
72nd - Terrell May (700k)
62nd - Api Koroisau (710k)
5th - Jarome Luai (1.2m)

This just shows how good a job Richo is doing. Not only are the Tigers one of the least featured teams on the list, all the players on there are on good deals. Terrell and Api on unders, Bula is spot on ranked against other fullbacks and Jaromes deal is fair given the impact he has had on turning the team around off the field and his winning pedigree at Penrith.

There are some absolute shockers on the list with a bunch of players massively overpaid.

I Was surprised Vicious I would of thought we could of got a deal with the Galvin scenario we knew Latu wasn't ready and we had little option, he could of lead us around the park without being spectacular. I think he was playing his role quite effective .
At the time Sexton was offered to us.Latu was earmarked for 7 and Douehi was on his way to the exit
Am unconvinced whether Latu can make the step up tbh...Galvin much better vision and kicking game(loathe to say that, but its true),whereas AD has just had the best month in his career and owns the 7 jersey next year...if he can stay on the park
But hes more of a running 7 than an organiser like Sexton, who will be missed by Dogs at the pointy end
A conundrum

Yeah, what was all that shit about dying with the ball on the last tackle.

Can be a great option at times to hand over the ball inside the oppositions 10 metre line if you don't want to risk giving away a 7 tackle set, but we handed it over 30 or 40 metres out on occasions when we should have been putting up a high bomb, talk about gifting field position.

Can they find a kicking coach and maybe devise some sort of options or tactics to implement in the opposition red zone, we really are clueless at the moment.
Only works when yr leading...!We needed desperately to create points.Benji...?

What is true is having Latu and Doueihi around is handy because they both bring different elements to attack.

The Latu/Luai combination needs to work on 5th tackle kicking into the corners with chasers...we lose a lot in that part of the game.

But Doueihi isn't a halfback either. Can't pass or organise. He literally is just there to put up high kicks
There are only a few good ones around which is why we went after Reynolds.

Cleary, Moses, Fogarty, Burton are the best general players kickers and it’s a massive gap to the next best IMO.

Benji has to find out a way to get the best parts of AD and Latu’s games and make it work at 13 and 7. If he can do that we won’t need anyone else.
