How many other "rising star in the backs" are there for 2019? Corey Thompson already got himself a new deal, Mommers just started, Fonua is definitely cut. Tommy Talau played 1 game.

Definitely not, he can take his try hard thug lifestyle somewhere else, Manly would be perfect fit for him.

He knocked us back years ago when he joined saints, he is good when he is fit, but he can find an injury, and he is on $800k

It was rumoured Marsters manager was seeking a contract upgrade and I can imagine us laughing and explaining how on form he's more likely to get a downgraded offer next time than an upgrade. But then Esan came out laughing at the Mole last week who was trying to claim he wanted out.

All a media beatup. The players know, and have known about their contract status for a while. Nothing on this has changed in the last week.

Of course any player who's been told they're free to leave and we won't pay much of their salary to go may be a bit upset. They thought they were wanted, but they're not and may have to uproot their family. But it's a business where it can happen.

It's still a lot better than the NBA where a player can wake up to find out they've been traded and have to uproot to another city the next day...

Jed Bogan the Bruce Reid of the NRL. The guys still under warranty as he has clocked up so little games due injury.

Also he has super glue hands, the ball never leaves them. When he puts a good game together it’s a very good one, but you get about one a year.

In 4.5 years he played 85 games for saints
This year and last year he has played 35 games for Cronulla, so he has played quite a bit actually, not saying we should sign him though

@Spida Let's be honest - there are few players in the team that you would absolutely hate to lose. The rest are ok first graders - at best.
So if there are a few disgruntled players at the club - meh! Move on. We need to re-invent the roster at some stage, so a few fellers moving on is probably a good thing.

Not that I'm bagging Reynolds because I like him and he has a great attitude and cares but if we buy Dugan for any price which I hope we don't we will than have Reynolds and Dugan sitting holding hands on the sidelines with bad injuries

The truth from people with nothing to hide or sell is that Packer gets along just fine with Maguire but holds a grudge against Cleary. Reynolds isn't over the moon but has stated publicly that he is okay with how we have handled it. Matulino doesn't want to retire though. Marsters is fine with the club and has stated it publicly too.

He fails to mention in all his nonsense how MCK, Aloiai, Liddle, Marshall have all signed on for new contracts. Seems like a few managers are really pushing their agendas through the media this week.

Wayde on way out at Panthers
The Panthers have told hooker Wayde Egan he is free to find a new club in 2020. With Api Koroisau heading back to Penrith next year, and the club happy with rookie Mitch Kenny's progress, Egan is the unlucky man.

There are a number of clubs - including the Wests Tigers, Bulldogs and Warriors – on the lookout for a hooker next season. (NRL.com)

@krayola we are going to finish at best 8th.....we haven't made the finals for nearly a decade....a big chunk of our salary cap can't get a game....there has only been a handful of consistent performers and only one standout performer....there should be a lot of people feeling uncomfortable in our club, anything less is accepting mediocrity. That said, hopefully everyone is being handled honestly, respectfully and professionally as this is important.

Joey Manu should be heavily targeted!

Won’t get the attention he deserves with Latrell coming off contract the same year - it’ll be hard for them to afford him even for the roosters

You can see he has loads of talent and tbh looks a better fullback then centre
