Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We still should chase have chased RCG, for $300k that's a steal. $350k we should have offered. But there's no cap space? So what, that didn't stop Sharks chasing Ramien. They'll fudge it somehow afterwards, that's how the big clubs do it.

Souths won't be re-signing the following players -
Billy Brittain, Jacob Gagan, Mawene Hiroti and Kyle Turner.

Bulldogs won't be re-signing the following players -
Michael Lichaa, Danny Fualalo, John Olive and Nu Brown

We need to move away from this clubs bargain buys attitude, theres no one there that would improve our roster

Never thought I would agree with you on anything.

I agree with you on this.

Gee thanks russ, there's hope for us yet

?

He went for 600k, (with Pamfers kicking the tin for 300K) what would offering 350k do

No quick fixes. Rebuild the team through the recruitment of the best junior talent backed by the best coaching and development. Build our culture under Maguire and sign him long term. Give players and youngsters surety about who will be in charge and what is expected. Let's hope those on the Boardh have the courage to back this long term assault on success.

Hiroti, cheap, better than Jennings, plays wing and fullback

Agreed. Hiroti as a versatile, speedy goal kicking outside back would be more handy than a number of our current backs. If he replaced Jennings our squad would be stronger and we'd have extra cash (if someone takes Jennings' contract). Clubs would still be interested in him at a certain price.

I'd be offering Woods some money to come back to the Tigers.
He played well yesterday. Something we need.

He would come back in a heartbeat. He was in tears yesterday afternoon at the Robbie farewell. He misses the place.
If you heard him speak on 2GB after the game he could hardly speak. Very emotional.

After the way he left there's no way i would have him back, but i dont run the club. To me he's just a buffoon that burnt his bridges.

Never say never. It’s employment mate ..... what do you do is what’s best at the time for your career, your family and your bank account. And he did!

Can anyone confirm we were looking at a few Broncos including Gehamat Shibasaki?

If we are looking at Shibasaki that will do me. He is close to the worst player in the NRL.

It is interesting how we all have differing views on players. I rate him with size and good pace.

who was that young broncos winger who played against sharks in the young broncos team?

Xavier Coates. They will retain him. We should look at Reece Walsh.

Looking at the roster we have some very good players just not enough of them.

Matterson, Aloai, Twal, Mikalele, Brooks, Mikalele, Garner, Momirovski, Thompson, Nofa.

That’s where it’s telling. We need 7 quality players to really compete. Some youngsters may come up to the mark Clarke, Talau, Bradley, Seyfarth. It’s a long road to a consistent finals team and has to be done with patience and food long term planning.

makes me sick saying this, as that jersey drama will never be forgotten by me, but I would add Benji to that list of late, easily doing enough to get us over the line if we had a touch more class.

Looks like we are after Papenhuyzen.
