Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

dumb question

Why did we punt her?

I mean if she wanted to play and train, surely we could have let her take a spot in the womens 30?
That said, happy if the club says "she is not up to standard". Ok punt her. If she is player 31 or weaker, sure.

But she seemed to show promise and surely we could have carried 1x person on the roster. Ofcourse if she was a troublemaker, punt her.
The NRLW squad is only 24.

turuva at fullback did that when bula was injured. but we struggled to score points because he has no ball playing ability. why do you think the dogs attack was crap & they are looking to replace tracey…. he has no attacking flair
I actually would like to see us develop Turuva at fullback if Bula were to leave. It might not be the worst idea considering we have a few wingers in Turuva, Skelton and Makasini. The depth is decent with Izaac Tu'itupou impressing in his only outing. Maybe Turuva can learn some ball playing with more training time there.

Do top players actually take less to stay at a good club?
Why wouldn't they? A good club means they can enjoy their footy every week. What is the lifestyle difference between say 900K and 750K? If your lifestyle isn't changing wouldn't you want to take the option where you are enjoying your footy?
Add that potential additional football earnings increase being at a good club I.e. rep selection more likely and thus rep payments. As well as future earnings more likely if they are a premiership winner and rep player. Taking less in many cases is probably the better financial play.

I'd suggest it is foolish to think they wouldn't take less to play at a stronger club.

Alternatively, Everyone on here will tell you the answer is no they get TPAs, brown paper bags or shares in a pub or some other shit. And I'm not for a second going to say that doesn't ever happen but I'd guess it happens far less than it is suggested.

Very few 3rd parties are heavily investing in rugby league players. Why would they? What is their return on investment?

There is no return on investment it's only for rich dudes who follow their team, with enough money to splurge as a hobby to hopefully get enjoyment watching their team succeed.
