There has been over 400 pages within this thread explaining why we have minimal money available in our Salary Cap, yet some people somehow think we will magically have a enough cash to outbid every other NRL club for one of the most expensive forwards in the game.

Yeh, centres are skinny, they'll have to replace a Sua as deputy when he moves up. Anderson will need to be replaced, as will another backup/bench prop for Tui. Then there's the funds tied up in Munster and Hughes too.

I'm not saying they can't, but to your point, the 3/4 line needs a bit of work still too. Ditto for backups to Warbrick and Coates.

Meh, it'll play out I guess.

makes me sick also, but they'll do as they always do, plenty of cash in the spine and on a couple of other pieces and fill the rest of the roster with minimum wage battlers.

Bula 800k, Luai 1.2m, Fainu 500k, Api 700k

Knights and Storm definitely more but I think we are in the top 4 most expensive spines

TPAs aren't even, no. But as for how uneven? Well Storm and Broncos can probably get one extra top tier player compared to the rest of the comp. Beyond that id guess it's not

That’s assuming we are talking ‘registered’ 3rd party deals and not other forms of corporate gifts/payments

you’ve forgotten the broncos, souths, manly, sharks even the eels would be up there considering moses is on 1.4m with tds on $650k.

Broncos have Reynolds and Paix on cheap deals, manly letting go of DCE, Sharks have Kennedy on 350k

Moses is on 1.3 not 1.4 and Iongi is on 400k

Moses is on 1.3 not 1.4 and Iongi is on 400k

reyno’s new deal was cheap but that’s for next year and they still acquired ben on $500k with ezra and billy all there too it adds up. hynes Trindall and brailey are all on big long term deals, no offence to Kennedy but he’s not worth much.
also api look less in his new deal.

Okay but our spine is still worth 3+ million. With the amount we are paying them we should be a lot more competitive then what we are

The roster isn’t going to improve much over the next few years

This time next week it will be Bula 1m, Luai 1.2m, Fainu 500k and Api 700k

3.4m combined value and I’ve seen a few reports stating Luai’s contract is 1.25m

Compare that to the Broncos with Walsh 1.2m, Mam 800k, Reynolds 600k and Hunt 600k
We will be paying more for our spine than what the Broncos are paying for their spine.
