Sailor won't happen. His dad is negative about anything Tigers on the radio. Says we should relocate, says we are the worst run club.

Capewell is 6’3 at least he’s bigger than me and I’m 102kgs now. Don’t believe the measurements on profiles he’s a strong lad. Good build for an edge forward. The Kikau’s of the world are freaks.

@matchball Is it just me but Sailor’s defence doesn’t seem great. Not a bad player but would we be looking at him as a winger or fullback?

If it’s a winger, I like Lee Silver more who has really come on this season in Jersey Flegg - can tackle, catch and runs the ball out strongly. He struggled a little bit last year but in my opinion has developed into an exciting talent and won’t cost us as much?

I just can’t see the upside with Sailor for the anticipated $ and we have talent coming through just as good?

OK, why don't you have a look at the top 4 ,or even top 8 sides and let me know how many of their back rowers are under 100kgs.

Or I can save you the trouble and tell you: not many. The sharks being the exception.

I beg to differ - I don't think he has the x factor - from watching him play, he is just one of them footy players, nothing stands out... anyway that's my opinion and hope the kid proves me wrong

Not at all. The point is successful sides all largely have big forwards, and our pack gets monstered by these bigger teams. We already have our quota of small second rowers, we need to add a couple of bigger ones too for squad balance and to give the defence something different to think about. Our attack out wide is very one dimensional.

You've pretty much got all of them in one go. Even then Murray is a lock and Radley more of a hooker. A handful of smaller dynamic back rowers but at least 80% are 100kgs+

I'm by no means saying if you have size you must be good, but there's a lot of big and skillful players out there too. We go for smaller and skillful players, and then get smashed off the field by teams like Canberra.

It's no coincidence that our pack gets dominated so much when our players aren't as big as our opponents. We already have Garner, Lawrence (?) and MCK as undersized dynamic second rowers. We need a few bigger, powerful runners out wide to complement our smaller ones. This is the setup that successful clubs have.

Matto is our only big second rower and he's obviously in a spot of uncertainty at the moment, and has played lock a fair bit too.
