How's about willy Chambers?

70% of our fan base will say no.

But 70% of our fan base want to have nice guys playing for us and are happy to finish 9th.

Ageing, at the point of his career where his form is regressing at a fast rate... yup, a Tigers signing for sure.

Didn't realise he was 31. Great competitor but can't afford another player past his best.

The player I hate most in the comp - with the exception maybe of Cam - but I would have him here in a heart beat. Would be an ideal centre for this team.

I agree with the first part but not the second. I think his best football is behind him and he's of a culture we don't need.

We need quality men as well as quality players. It's hard to build a solid culture with knuckle heads.

The RLPA are so selfish. All they do is take from the game. Everything they do is only for the benefit of the players. They don't care if they have to bring rugby league to its knees to get things down.

That's how unions work mate. They just take, take , take and end up ruining it for everyone.

We had the same situation at work a couple of weeks ago, and one of the Union delegates said “yeah I know if we keep wanting all the time they will eventually close the gates”.

Well in a city the size of Bathurst 220 jobs are not easily replaced, especially in a stable company like our work place.
That’s the unions mantra, take take take.

You won’t be building a winning culture without any.

Benji on 360 reckons Folau should be allowed to play as we let women bashers play.

I do not agree with Folau, but the simple fact is the nrl let Greg Bird and Lodge return after much more serious incidents.

It’s funny, or not, how words get a greater punishment than acts of physical violence. I also don’t agree with Folau but they are his religious beliefs. His punishment seems disproportionate, taking into account what others have done.

Yes its his opinion and his religious belief so who's to say his is wrong because a Sponsor whose on the other side of the fence threatens to withdraw a sponsorship does that make his point of view correct?

To say a man can virtually not play professional sport again because of his views is totally WRONG and a long way off giving someone a fair go after all he has not bashed, raped or forcibly entered someones home threatening violence in fact he has not be charged with any crime, and with tweedle d and tweedle dumber poking their noses into it I can see any court case looming in regard to restriction of trade after all he's a professional sportsman being denied to right to make a living.

The ARU and NRL have a right to protect their brand, Folau is bad for PR and sponsorship. Companies want to be seen as being against intolerant behaviour.

This is more a case of expensive speech as opposed to free speech.

Isn't a union supposed to look after its members?

They do until the companies get sick to death of being extorted and move their operations overseas.
Unions do more damage in the long run.
Australia considers itself a free market economy but it's not the case while unions exist.
Unions is an outdated concept from the turn of the century when there were no laws to protect workers.
Now there is so many laws to protect the working man. Unions are parasites. They actually leech off the workers for union fees.

Industrial laws are more likely inplace because of unions, rather than in spite of them. Employees in the construction industry still do not come home to their families at the rate of about one every week and it would still be many times the multiple if not for unions.

You only have to look at the recent entourage of M's with Morrison for the visit to meet Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon to see who gets looked after.
Mining magnates (from our ore)
Media magnates in Murdoch and Stokes, plus Murray interview.

Modern society is more imbalanced than ever and will only be more so if the right get their way. Unions provide a little balance.

1200 new members have joined our union in the last few months. Workers in our sector well know it is the union which will protect their right and conditions. I am a union delegate and proud of it

Hearing Packer’s a good chance to be done in a swap/Reynolds still hopeful a team (UK?) may be able to pick up the bulk of his contract... that’s the way the cookie is crumbling atm

Will update with confirmation of clubs and figures probably at the same time our media department do😂 McQueen staying.

There's no one chasing Packer, he'll earn top dollar playing reggies.

Just like Farah and just like Lawrence this isnt about prime of his career its about recruiting mentality.

Get it right and we fill a few more spots with players who dont turn to water when the pressure is on.

Chambers is the right kind of recruit.

If that really is the case Maguire is left with no choice but to make it up with Packer and find a way to make him a viable bench option.

Our game has been more worried about income than it has fans or clubs for many years.

I would prefer we didn’t obsess about income... it’s not like paying players more money has helped the game in any way...
