How do people feel about Jackson Hastings? A good aggressive player with some mongrel ( which we need) has just won Super Leagues Man of Steele...Could be just the mix we need in the halves with Brooksie.

Certainly worth a look at having been able to rise again, but only if he has addressed his personal issues.

Agreed but it seems that what ever issues he had have been solved with a timeout overseas, and really does anyone get along with Daly Chery-Evans.?

DCE could have been the major issue there, but it was a short stay. after already being shown the door by the chooks.

He is a decent size, and kicks goals, wouldn’t be super expensive, we could do way worse

They do in England, as they have a transfer system. Canberra had to pay around $400 000 to have Bateman released.

There is no way we could afford to pay a transfer fee. I think Hastings will come back at some point, but not until he has played for Wigan for at least a season or two as he is their big signing for next year.

Yeah, just read he was a FA so there was no transfer (unlike Bateman). He can come back to the NRL in 12 months.

**Hastings is now believed to have signed a two-year deal - with a clause inserted allowing him to leave for the NRL at the end of next season - with the Warriors worth in the region of £250,000-a-year.**

Around 450 Aus a year. Quite a bit for a guy who failed last time, but he has def matured.

For context though.......Blake Austin and Kevvie were stars over there this season.

No No No - Guy is a complete dope. That is why the Rorters and Manly got rid of him. Wasn't just Dally.

Personally I am really glad he signed with Wigan.

@colinbh I actually liked the look of Madden. Has a strong kicking game and is a traditional halfback who controls the game, he will get better over time. Has a similar personality to Brooks, which worries me, isn't an overly confident young man.

He has a good skill set and I like what I see. Being exposed to a better coaching regime next year will bring out the best in him.

Agree with this. Rankin looks like a superstar most weeks too over there. Always worth keeping an open mind but I think we'll invest in the halves coming through the lower ranks
