IMO better than Dogs, Gold Coast, Dragons, Eels at the very least. You could argue at least on par with Manly, Raiders, Cowboys
You looking at last weeks line ups, or at full strength...
Take Parra,
Addo Carr is better than our Wingers, Iongi probably not that far behind Bula (If at all) We have a better Centre in May - But I'd take Simmonson over any of our Wingers. Penisini and Russell probably better than what we're offering up for the most part.
Gold Coast have a Tier 1 Rep Fullback and Origin Winger - Maybe on par with ours?

Maybe at least equal with the Eels? Dont forget when we were going well our backs out of yardage were great.

I reckon Dogs centres and wingers chew us up. lol about manly. Agree for titans dragons and eels. Cowboys and raiders I’m on the fence. IMO we are easily in the bottom half of the comp, if not bottom quarter.

Agree they have been poo but they are a broken team. Bar tracey I reckon they formidable.
I like Simmonson, but no way he is on par with Turuva. Tito is very, very good.

Fair enough. Can agree our backline is at least in the bottom half, but there are pretty small margin separating many teams. Ours does have the potential to grow. At least 3 potential elite class players (May, Bula and Makasini).
Our depth for fullback and centre is simply awful and probably the worst in the comp, so can agree there.
Not sure how you think I'm saying we have great depth, when im saying we can't handle 3 or 4 key injuries.
And in regards to recruitment, we were the worst team in the comp for 3 years, now we are not, just by the law of averages that says our recruitment has been better. Is it perfect, no but if you can't see our lineup is better this year than the last 3 I can't help you. Our starting 17 is finals worthy, after that we need improvement.
Added to that the expectation that we play finals this year was never mine, im hopeful of course but very few teams go from last to top 8 so if we pull that off, it's amazing if not you keep tinkering with the squad to get it there.
And i guess the other point is Brisbane are behind us on the ladder, yeah, the reason is injuries that team won the comp so is their depth terrible because they aren't in the top 4? As repeated early injuries have derailed the storm so far, the Broncos, the Raiders, and the Bulldogs.
Depth is fine in small doses, but as you go further into your 30 it gets considerably weaker. We knew we really couldnt afford to lose a hooker, centre, fullback or a 2nd rower this year or we were in trouble we have lost all 4. Can you argue we prepared poorly for this, sure. But key injuries in key positions have crippled our momentum. Same as all the other clubs.
Hard to do comparisons on this because what's our metric, eye test, stats, potential?
Like, for example, Luke L is statistically better than the fox is everything but defense. But you would say the fox can open a game up more than Luke. Then are we saying young Ado Carr or old addo carr?

Dogs backs are big, however very slow. The only player i fear in that team is Kiraz and his offloads, especially against our defense.

Agree hard to do, but its not uncommon for people to list their top 5 props or whatever. Its my subjective opinion and people will obviously have different points of views. Just tried to think of they came up against eachother tomorrow what would it look like.
If you are offered Fox or Luke this weekend you probably choose Fox. Probably not in 12 months time

Yeah love Tito but Simmonson's form before he broke his leg was outstanding. Over a career you probably take Tito every day of the week.

Speed something we definitely lack.
