Graeme MorrisWhats the name of the bloke leaving?
When I lived in Sydney I rarely missed any games, whether CSS, LO, or Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now).Totally agree re jerseys SQ but not on CSS, although I quote à previously listed message “ I want us to play at à ground where we win regularly, wherever it is“.
The fact that you travel from the Central West of NSW shows you are a true blue club supporter but so many can’t wrap their head around CSS v LO, and rightly or wrongly we have à results issue out west so imo, and at least in the past, we have a ground that we rarely win on.
I’d actually love to see a breakdown of the suburbs of the LO attendees v CSS to ascertain the major differences, if any.
I know when I lived in Sydney two trips to CSS was enough for me but never missed a LO game.
Maybe because I’m an old Balmain boy, I don’t know, but it just never felt the same!
Yeah i’m a fan of Humphreys , big body , good defender good boot 👍Humphries would be a great buy with a full pre season as a 13. Little bit of Cam Murray about him. Definitely something we don’t have, some speed in the forwards and ability to find their front.
He wouldn’t command top dollar either.
Get it done Benji!
Spot on, I couldn't have put it any better. When I lived in Sydney I rarely missed any games, whether CSS, LO, or Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now).
Luckily, I'm neither old WSM or BT, and maybe that is the difference. My only attachment is to Wests Tigers, and I do not care where the previous teams used to play.
I want 1 home ground that is a fortress, I want my team to wear its home jersey at home, so the supporters can make it a fortress by wearing the same jersey as the players, and I want a united supporter base, all cheering for Wests Tigers. I want all lower grades under the Wests Tigers name, playing at the one home ground before or after NRL. I want the NRLW and lower grades all playing under the WT name at the one home ground.
I guess I want 1 united team in NRLW and NRL and all lower grades. Sadly, that will never happen under the current ownership team. And I truly believe that is a big part of why WT is not competitive and cannot build a strong team in NRL.
NRLW doesn't seem to have the same issues, but they are simply WT. Not split between two defunct teams.
I agree with your comments about the jersey and the name of the lower grade team ..When I lived in Sydney I rarely missed any games, whether CSS, LO, or Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now).

Did you watch his last two games? He is a turnstyle at the moment.Doueihi is much better defensively in closer to the ruck where halves defend, rather than he is out wider defending as a centre.
When defending as a halve he has less missed tackles or missed assignments that have led to tries or conceded than what Luai has this season.

Mmm, interesting. Not sure we need to buy him. However, if we did entertain the idea, his qualities are very similar to AD's with the exception of him being a good defender.Yeah i’m a fan of Humphreys , big body , good defender good boot 👍
I thought that as well , some of his missed tackles was pathetic, I think he is trying to protect his shoulderTurnstyle is too good to describe his performance on Friday .. I would suggest traffic cone
yes, I'm a bit unsure about Humphries, he is one of those players that can do a job in multiple positions and not really be elite at any particular position (yet). I do agree that he reads similar to AD so I'm not sure what you do with both of them in the same team.Mmm, interesting. Not sure we need to buy him. However, if we did entertain the idea, his qualities are very similar to AD's with the exception of him being a good defender.
If we take on Humphreys as a 13 what is the plan for AD given we just extended him?
AD has clearly demonstrated that he isn't a 7, he has previously shown he is an average 6; for pretty much the same reason he is a poor 7. His defensive resolve makes him a liability at centre.
There are some hard decisions that have to be made. If we are sniffing around Humphreys AD, for mine, could be the super-sub. Spends the off season developing his skill set to function as a 13 and comes off the pine to spell Twal/Humphreys and is there as a backup for 1, 3 ,4, 6, 7 along with 2 and 5 in a pinch. Handy player to have on the bench.
AD has no confidence now KPP has gone. He is tripping overhimself because he is changing his mind and direction mid stride, he is rushing out of the line to try and solve the problems himself instead of sticking to the system and he is back to throwing out the one arm and jogging back into position with the "oh poo I missed him" look on his face. I think he is cooked at the moment - could be his shoulder, but I expect it is between the ears and he has reverted to norm.AD went through a period before he was injured where he was making some good decisions in defense, especially rushing in at the right times. However I think his improved defense was down to the incredible job KPP was doing locking up that right side, AD just had to stay in a defined lane and do a job. Now that KPP is out injured the defense has collapsed and AD is exposed.
Seemed well liked by the boys.Graeme Morris
Doueihi's problems in defence sum up the difficulties with the squad in general. Inconsistent with huge gaps between their best and worstDid you watch his last two games? He is a turnstyle at the moment.
You mean a club United under one banner with a sense of identity ?? The old bastards at HBG couldn’t possibly tolerate it , it makes too much sense .. bloody nice ideathough !When I lived in Sydney I rarely missed any games, whether CSS, LO, or Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now).

He was a turnstile against the Warriors defending in the centres.Did you watch his last two games? He is a turnstyle at the moment.
I think it has a bit to do with his shoulder, i also think Makasini is suffering from the same issue.AD has no confidence now KPP has gone. He is tripping overhimself because he is changing his mind and direction mid stride, he is rushing out of the line to try and solve the problems himself instead of sticking to the system and he is back to throwing out the one arm and jogging back into position with the "oh poo I missed him" look on his face. Time for a spell to recover and let Latu and Luai run the show for a few weeks.
I think you need to go back and rewatch - he has been just as bad at 7.He was a turnstile against the Warriors defending in the centres.
You often see players that defend ok in the halves really struggle being more isolated defending in the centres.
I am sure the shoulder is part of it - but if he wasn't fit enough he wouldn't be out there (or the performance staff are not doing their job). I say between the ears as I expect he is arm grabbing due to confidence levels; but the terrible rush out of the line decision making, especially as a 7, is killing us. I'm not sure if it is a trust issue or if he wants to be the main man and solve a problem that doesn't really exist.I think it has a bit to do with his shoulder, i also think Makasini is suffering from the same issue.
