In order or rumour priority we should target Frizell, Arrow, Taukeiho, Brimson, Lomax, JWH.
We will likely end up with Hiroti, Britain, Capewell, Kyle Turner, Luciano Leilua.

We need fast outside backs. What you are suggesting does not solve this need.

Lomax has pace doesn't he? But I agree with you. What we could really do with is a couple of tall, fast wingers.

If we got the forwards taking us forward, we could get Jennings firing. He was a try machine at Souths.
Think of all the duds that were made to look like stars behind a pack. Bryson Goodwin always baffled me on how an ordinary player can be made to look like a star.
My point is. Dominating up front and creating room is where we have been failing for a long time.
Spend all our cap space on 3 big units and get Packer ready we are good to go. Top 8 all the way.

@cqtiger if the contract is agreed on he doesn't need to be there.

Whatever is to be announced would have been finalised before he left the country.

I don't expect much, if anything to be announced until a couple more weeks, when the cooling off period (10 business days) would normally end. As technically, there is to be no approach for anyone contracted for next year until today.

Of course, I am not naive enough to think nothing has been occurring in the background and likely between various clubs, but it immediately looks suss if an announcement is made prior to the above playing out.

Don’t forget hard running. Hard running players are the go.

Lomax is a very good young player. POM suggested he may not be obtained until the following year.

I would imagine if we signed lomax for 2021 saints would probably say go now....knowing he isnt in their long term plans

Wests Tigers could make an immediate play for Anthony Milford, if Brisbane are prepared to release their marquee man, as the joint-venture outfit looks to spend a $1.7 million war chest.

And across the Tasman, the Warriors are preparing a $3.5 million offer to a teenager who has played just five NRL games as silly season begins in the transfer market.

Within just a few weeks, the Tigers have gone from being cash-strapped to a major force in the chase for talent after the medical retirement of Ben Matulino and the departures of Esan Marsters and Ryan Matterson. They could have even more space in their salary cap if Chris McQueen accepts an offer to finish his career in England.

Tigers officials don’t want to repeat mistakes by paying ‘overs’ for players past their best. They have drawn up a list of targets, including Dragons Luciano Leilua and Zac Lomax and Titans duo AJ Brimson and Jai Arrow. However, the biggest name on the list is Milford. The Brisbane star is contracted until the end of 2020, with an option in the playmaker’s favour. However, Milford hasn’t consistently lived up to his $1 million-a-season tag and the Broncos may consider shedding players to retain in-demand forward David Fifita.

Milford is one of several big names Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold has put on notice. The 25-year-old has switched between five-eighth and fullback, but needs to work on his fitness to hold down the latter position.
If the Broncos release Milford - and are prepared to pay some of his freight to get him off their books - the Tigers would want him at Concord. Corey Thompson has done a solid job when given an opportunity at fullback, but the Tigers haven’t settled on a long-term No.1 since James Tedesco left for the Roosters two years ago.
Milford is viewed as someone who can provide more strike from the back and also transition into the No.6 jersey when Benji Marshall retires.

@WT2K I really don't like the Milf but it is an upgrade. I heard recently we have had discussions about Fleglar and Shibisaki from the broncs

One of the most overated players in the NRL imho.

Not worth anything like a million bucks. Closer to 650 - 700k methinks.

It would be a NO from me - much rather have A.J.

Madge has a strategy sign fat players that could be superstars. He will follow them around all offseason like a stalker and tell em put down the Canoli fatso.

Not a fan of Milford in the halves but when he shifted to fullback this year I thought he was extremely good.

Two of the biggest deficiencies for Thomo is his support play and ball playing ability which are major factors in him not being an out and out fullback but Milford has both of those aspects in his game.

As a fullback it’s a yes for me.

Milford and Leilua? They seem to think our recruitment strategy will be based on the ease with which we will be able to identify who at all the pies.

Well dare I say....WTF?

Im torn. Totally overrated (or underperforming) at Broncos but my god there would be some pressure on him up there.

He looked like a superstar, or at least the next Karmichael Hunt at the Raiders, at fullback.

At the right price.....it would be a yes from me.

If he came here to play FB it would certainly add some strike power and some wished upon X-factor on the team.

It is just a matter of how consistently he produces that x-factor is my worry

would much rather Milford over Moylan, especially if Brisbane chip in and we pay him say $600k, he could completely change our attack. wasn't there rumours that Madge was spotted having lunch with Milford a couple of weeks back? who knows, maybe the article is on the money.
