Its around that. It was a decent contract. He was in demand when we went for him. Parra had a decent offer.

@tony-soprano Certainly do but not paying a winger massive money when we need a Fullback, Forwards and a quality Centre.. That is just stupid business and going down the same road we have done for years..
Do you see the Roosters, Souths, Storm paying 800-900k for a winger ?? NO chance.
I would love to see us get a couple of these guys - Latrell M, Arrow, Tyson F, AJ Brimson, Lomax, etc.. They are the positions we need.

I think Alex Johnston discussion might’ve been to play fullback . AJ has always wanted to play FB because the $ are more than for a winger .

Those discussions would’ve been before Latrell’s falling out with the Roosters which changes the landscape significantly. Probably does for Lomax too .

I think if we get Latrell we won’t be getting AJ .

I believe it was $400k which was top dollar at the time. It probably reflected the problems we were having signing anyone.

Storm signed JAC when he was an untested first grader and would have been on a pittance here. I think the figure of $80k was tossed around as what we needed to offer. I very much doubt the Storm paid him more than $150-200k. He would have gotten a better offer subsequently but $900k sounds fanciful.

$900k for a winger would be insanity when we more urgently need forwards. It would be insanity even if we didn't need forwards.
