Fair enough. I must admit what bugs me is the way the Roosters blatantly brief the usual suspects in the press behind the scenes and these lazy hacks slavishly follow the company line.
Mitchell seems to want to play his preferred position and find out what he's worth in the open market. The Roosters can't give him the former and would prefer he doesn't do the latter so they can keep him for cheap. And there's Paul Kent writing the whole situation up like Mitchell's betrayed some sacred bond and without the Roosters he'd be nothing. Why do the Roosters get to be so special?
