@Jimmy I agree to be honest, if we are capable of signing latrell Mitchell, why not aim higher, we have the money. Only issue is there probably aren’t that many wingers on the market.

Money baby ....... Money!

Sami is a good target 22 years old, big, fast and coached by Brennan. Sounds similar to a winger we had under Jason Taylor.

I'm told Latrell will be a Tiger by the end of this week. Source is good.

Well that means tomorrow then!

Why does it have to be business days

Love JAC as a player

However would much prefer spend that 600k mark he would probably be commanding on players like Frizzel and Arrow

Need to beef up that forward pack....

Hope facepalmer is on the money.

Landing a kid like Latrell might open it up for other talent. We ran ninth with a stupid amount of money on the sideline. Madge might actually have a dip at the silverware with some quality.

@2041 I think LM perhaps didn’t only want to see his worth, but he may have wanted to also pursue a fullback position, it’s been said that’s where he wants to be, and he ain’t getting the FB position at the roosters.
That could’ve sparked tension in the roosters camp.

Fair enough. I must admit what bugs me is the way the Roosters blatantly brief the usual suspects in the press behind the scenes and these lazy hacks slavishly follow the company line.

Mitchell seems to want to play his preferred position and find out what he's worth in the open market. The Roosters can't give him the former and would prefer he doesn't do the latter so they can keep him for cheap. And there's Paul Kent writing the whole situation up like Mitchell's betrayed some sacred bond and without the Roosters he'd be nothing. Why do the Roosters get to be so special?

@2041 yeh you never know what’s going on behind the scenes, for all we know LM has been wanting the fullback role for some time, and may have been unhappy from the time they signed Teddy, knowing that’s where he wanted to be.
Roosters may have just made an offer they know he would’ve declined, that way they can say “At least we tried” to avoid backlash from their fans and sponsors for ‘Letting him go’.
Best thing about us getting LM would be that we don’t have to verse him lol.

And while you’re there can you get it done right now so that I don’t have to keep coming here for breaking news and refreshing every minute!?!???

@bigsiro If he can at least keep his form with kicking then that itself would be a blessing, games these days we need 6 point try’s to get the W.

because of all the backers they have behind the scenes that are high up in just about everything.....just to name a few.....
Nick Politis
James Packer
Mark Bouris
John Ibrahim
Danny Wiedler
Phil Gould
Leila McKinnon

Now these names are a mix of shady crims and shonky news people......McKinnon is married to the head of channel 9...

Lol it’s rather nerve wracking isn’t it? Especially with our history of missing out, it’s not often we land a big one.

@bigsiro absolutely, even though Momo was coming good at the back end of the season with his kicking, always beneficial to have more then one kicker.

@AnnandaleTiger Don't know much about him. He is big, fast (we sure need some pace) and only 22. Maybe Madge could turn him into something. If he is cheap, could be worth a shot on a 1 year deal with extension options after that.

This forum will brake if he signs. It will be the biggest signing we have ever snared & that’s saying something for a 22yr old kid not in his prime yet.
