He's been to my young blokes training on a few occasions - the kids love him.

@2041 yeh you never know what’s going on behind the scenes, for all we know LM has been wanting the fullback role for some time, and may have been unhappy from the time they signed Teddy, knowing that’s where he wanted to be.
Roosters may have just made an offer they know he would’ve declined, that way they can say “At least we tried” to avoid backlash from their fans and sponsors for ‘Letting him go’.
Best thing about us getting LM would be that we don’t have to verse him lol.

Sounds legit. :+1:

I do think this flurry of signings for lower grades, potential big signing or two for NRL squad, hopeful weeding out of not required players, new support staff and the remoulding of WT football operations is a much needed fillip and energiser to both the footballers and the fan base.

Much as we're all getting excited about Mitchell - and rightly so - I think it will be the first point you make that will have the most difference on the field. A production line of cheap talent - now that's a game changer.

When the worst kept secret in RL does eventuate, I wonder if a controversial signing will follow soon after in the hope that the former smothers the latter.

What controversial signing would that be?

At the risk of re-igniting a recent flare up on here, I'll just let fellow forum members fill in the blanks. Just food for thought - that's all.

Marika Koroibete wins the John Eales medal for Australias best rugby player.

Some will say its only Australian rugby but geez I wish we still had him and JAC on our wings this year. How do we let these guys go!

Add Taqele Naiyaravoro to that list as well

There has to be a balance. Out of the cheap talent we'll need to identify the keepers along the way.

If LM signs with the Tigers and is released by the Roosters for 2020, then the Roosters may have the necessary funds to re-sign Tetevano.

Roosters have been pretty prominent lately saying they are prioritising JWH & Tak and previously talked about letting Tetevano go, so I’d have to think there’s a reasonable chance he ends up with us

Paul kairatana (halfback))ex keebra park and Lachlan Talau (hooker),Tommy’s brother are training with us , both are really hopeless, both battled to get out of Sydney shield at Moore bank last year. William key is also with us from parramatta and young Tyler field from Parra sg ball has signed with us. Logen Dillon is now back training after having a titanium plate inserted in his hand during offseason and billy Britain Britain (ex Souths hooker) at concord on Tuesday. I hear anything else I will post it.

Thanks for the report mate. INteresting as I'd read on a parra forum Kei had signed with Manly after us and the Dogs went for him (along with Parra obvioulsy). He's very highly rated. With Kei, Cini and Talau at the club we've got 3 of the best young center prospects in the country

I thought Dillon might have been promoted to a Devlopment contract, however its already full of backs so maybe thats why

Would think Britain will be coming here as a CC signing at worst now that Soni Lukes gone back to Penrith.

Appreicate the info, club isnt very forth coming with lower grade news/signings

Club hasn't been very forth coming with lower grade news/signings/ or anything else all season.

Maybe they are practicing to be part of the CIA.

No wonder Gal was preaching to LM. I really hope his head puts a hole in the canvas tonight.

Makes sense for the Roosters. Why pay a fullback a million bucks and a centre 800k when you can replace the centre with one who is only slightly less good for, say, 400-500k and spend the rest extending your props.

It's almost like the Roosters actually acknowledge the cap, though the fact they've spat the dummy over Mitchell so badly suggests to me there's something else going on - most likely that he wasn't convinced by the usual "sign for unders, get it made up elsewhere" deal.

Will be interesting to see how the Sharks handle the situation if Xerri wants out with 2 years remaining on his contract to chase more money (it was reported he was not happy with the amount Ramien is getting paid compared to his contract). The Roosters may do a Parramatta and get the player to ask for a release, the NRL has to step up to sort out this issue once and for all!!
