Well, should get some of those mentioned wanting to sign. I'd prefer Milford over Moylan as I suspect Moylan is more high maintenance and we have already had a taste of that with Mitchell and Matterson antics.

At least the club has made a positive move in shutting down Mitchell to be able to move on the others. Will be interesting in that they h ave named targets and now they can be judged on who they can get over the line. Go Wests Tigers.

2 have gone to penrith,,holmes has returned are the only confirmed transfers. I havnt seen offical confirmation on croft and Scott from Melbourne.

There are no decent off contract players at all. We are chasimg players who have a year still to go. Yoir not going to get a good result like that. I really wish the Nrl jusg have the balls and save that a contract must be followed and if a player wangs to leave early they have to be on the same salary or less thanthey are currently on. It will get rid of alot of the rumours and crap thag is going on. Most of the players would stay most likely.

That won’t stick in a million years. Mental health cards would be played left, right and centre. I wouldn’t put it past some players to claim they are sucidal.

Perhaps not making them mandatory for the reasons you guys have mentioned, but bringing in some sort of compensation model for the club missing out is definitely required. Now what club would not approve of that? Only the real dirty ones who steal more than they are stolen from, but hopefully they are in the minority, and an agreement on a new model could be reached through the overwhelming number of other clubs.

Heard a bloke on the radio with a good solution yesterday. Say we were paying Matterson $400K and Parra want to take him early for $600K, then Parra have to soak up an additional $200K ( difference) on their salary cap, so a $600K contract costs $800K on the cap.
