First priority should be a gun fullback and secondly a centre. I think our pack is looking a lot better than the outside backs. We have a decent pack, pretty good halves and average outside backs.

Gun fullback or centre?

If we get a centre, I still think Thommo is good enough at the back.

I hope JAC comes home in a year or so.

If Thomson is good enough for fullback why is the club looking everywhere for one?

Momirovski is currently the first back picked. Probably at centre but otherwise on the wing. He's faster than Nof and Jennings and is the only back that knows how to find the try line. He's also our first choice goal kicker kicks at the same % as Mitchell.
Talau should be there too as he provides some spark to a static backline. But really the only outside back at the moment that's a certainty to play round one is Momo.

Abbey, if anything, will be our 30. Last player picked if nothing better is available. He won't even start training fully until Feb-March then needs to prove his fitness too. So either he'll play for the magpies all year or get our last spot.
I think it's likely Mbye will be moved on and hopefully McQueen and McIntyre go too. Possibly even Reynolds though I doubt we'd be lucky enough to offload both Mbye and Reynolds, but both are pushing it just to make the starting lineup

I think it’s more the salary we’re paying, not his actual talent which is the issue.....

This is my first post but I’m a mid term follower.
Personally, I’m not too concerned about 2020, 2021 will be the year of the Tiger and I think Madges focus is on that. With that in mind, I think we should be all out for Zac Lomax. Potentially he’s top class, can play fullback and is, from all reports, an upright citizen. I’d also attempt to poach Sam Verrills from the Roosters rather than waste the money on Lattrell. Get them both for 2021. Good hooker, good fullback, plenty of forwards, Tommy Talau, Momo, some excellent development prospects....
