What's the worry with TPA? They're between player and third party nothing to do with clubs according to the NRL?

Aj is just an average player who would join our club coz his club doesnt want him and we are probably the only option. I'd love to get a star player but it feels like it won't happen. Eep.

So much crap talk at the moment on the forum, in short, you can only buy what's available. Just remember that buying a champion player does not make you a champion team.

**As being the laughing stock of the NRL ppffttt I don't buy that at all. I would suggest that most opposition supporters would say that the Tigers are their second fav team, maybe they just like underdogs.I can take that as a compliment.**

Anyway, its only a game a far worse things are happening at present in Australia and the world. Fires, unemployment, drought, climate change, Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon etc. Just enjoy the game and the club for what it is and enjoy our wins and drown our losses.......

If you talk to most Rugby League fans funnily enough you find that the Roosters are the laughing stock of the NRL. Despite their onfield success, most people are aware of their favouritism with the power brokers of the NRL and are skeptical of the way they have 'bought' their success in recent years. People are always having a dig at their salary cap sombrero and seem to regard their Premiership success as somewhat hollow victories.

Well my missus and eldest son support the Rooster. Me and the little bloke are Tigers. I can tell you who does more smiling in our house during footy season!


Don't listen to them Bones, deep down they know those victories are just hollow and were brought about by the systematic pillaging of the best players from other clubs under extremely dodgy financial dealings that the NRL turns a blind eye to. Everyone knows it, even Roosters supporters.

So doing whatever you can to improve your team is hollow. I'd call it professionalism and ambition.

No that’s not what I said. It’s the way they do it that makes it all hollow. Everyone knows they’ve been systematically cheating and getting away with it for years now. You couldn’t possibly be legitimately under the salary cap with some of sides they’ve fielded in recent years.

@tiedye I asked a legitimate question? Your argument makes no sense but because he came back from all those injuries and played centre. Now everyone's calling him our best centre?

He’s played centre before, he’s an athlete with great fitness first and foremost that was troubled by leg injury last year and issues with the contact yet he still stopped all the attackers I saw coming his way dead in their tracks.

He wasn’t recruited as our marquee fullback and the point i’m making is that he clearly hasn’t lost a position nor is he the best utility in the NRL, but a better organisational FB and providing many more attacking options from whatever position he is playing.

Thompson is a bulldog winger - your initial point was totally wrong (he’s not a fullback’s gooch- and so you’re comparing of and questioning Their differentiated abilities renders you a pretty fickle fan).

Yet he, as clearly posted hours before is our best running centre and offers the most in attack in terms of service and taking correct options - as a 5/8th or hooker. Not a case of trying to fit them both in, but you still asked who ‘lost’. It’s overly speculative👎

Star winger Josh Addo-Carr will be the latest Storm star to depart Melbourne, with the club agreeing to release the Test and Origin flyer on compassionate grounds.

Melbourne Storm will help premiership winger Josh Addo-Carr return to Sydney under “compassionate grounds” at the end of the 2020 season.

News Corp has established Melbourne’s position hinges on the NRL heavyweight being able to secure a player of equal value in return for the NSW Origin and Kangaroos finisher.

A change in Addo-Carr’s family situation recently has led to the contracted and committed Storm winger needing to return home to Sydney.

Addo-Carr’s departure will leave Storm without both its frontline wingers ahead of the 2021 season, but in also, make Melbourne a major player in the NRL free agency space.
