Does the $100K relate to this year or next season? If Doueihi is on supposedly $500,000 this year he would have by the end of January be paid $125K already by Souths so Tigers could sign him for $375K and he is no worse off financially. If Souths chipping in $100K for 2021 then Tigers sign him for $500K instead of current $600K contract he supposedly has with Souths for 2021.

Just thought i'd throw a spanner in the works here .. forwards .. who's gonna miss out .. will Madge be loyal and faithful and pick some players we have played in the last few season as regulars or will he mix it up a little .. ?? What I am referring to here is Chris Lawrence and Elijah Taylor .. I can't see either of those two getting a start in the 17 this year .. !! It's hard to believe after what Lawrence has giving us over the years, but honestly does he give us anything from being in the side, except experience .. ??

My starting pig pack would be:

Packer, Mbye, Clark, Garner, Leilua, Twal .. bench i would have Mikeale, Musgrove, Aloiai, Reynolds and if we get that Stefano Utoikamanu he'd be on my starting bench instead.

I am concerned now with the news of the Knights are now interested.. Could just be Souths trying to push Tigers into signing him without adding any money.

to be honest the board member was super confident it was a done deal on saturday now with the money situation he is not so sure how keen they they wanted more from souths

Packer and clakre starting plz no...clakre is a big body but offers next to nothing packer? If he does regain form sure...I’d have mikaele starting with MCK off the bench and thommo as a utility instead of grub

I doubt that would be the case. Too easily verified.
Anyhoo, Souths need to honour their contract payments to date and throw in some as a good will gesture, because it’s in the best interest for all parties concerned.

I don't think many would be suggesting Lawrence and Taylor to figure in the 17 come round 1 as our forward pack has changed quite a bit.

Stefano Utoikamanu and Kane Evans took the battle up a notch in performances that left our spectator group in no doubt that statements were being made.

Stefano Utoikamanu carried the ball with serious intent. A couple of his carries left defenders strewn behind him, with Harry Duggan looking the worse for wear after a big collision.

I think ET is probably in with a shot at either the 13 or a bench role given his ability to play in the middle or on the edge. Clark, Lawrence and MCK to miss out due to lack of versatility/pecking order.

Just demonstrates how far we have fallen when Leiua excited supporters. He missed that tackle in the GF and bombed a certain try by trying to score himself rather than passing it to his unmarked winger. Talau can make the same mistakes as a rookie on considerably less. The more these stories emerge the more you believe we have the wrong recruitment staff or coach. Where is the pace we need?

Leilua has won Dally M centre of the year 2 of the last 4 years and one of those years he missed most of the season with injury. He didn’t miss a tackle for that try, he saved a try with a great legs tackle the tackle before but because it was a legs tackle he (and nobody else) could get back in time for the fast PTB.

I’m hopeful for Talau, I’d like to hope he is the next Simone but people seem to forget he has already debuted in 1st grade and he looked....ok. I’ve seen a few concerned about getting BJ as blocking Talau. If tommy is good enough he will force his way in. Clubs role is to WIN. Game 1 to GF

As an interesting (to me) aside, I went over to the Raiders forum to see what they are saying. Generally they love him and don’t want him to leave and feel they will be weaker without him, but one post I thought was interesting is one of them came here and couldn’t believe how little we rate him. Paraphrasing words to the effect of “they Don’t know what they are getting “
