Does anyone think Sharks can hang on to Xerri with this new monster 5 year deal? They’re desperate for cap space and trying to move on Duges hasn’t worked.?

I believe they will keep him by moving on one of their other big names. They will find the money and the lifestyle in the area is a good reason to stay.

Be very interesting to see how high they go? It’s got to be more than $4m?


Would chooks offer him more than they offered Mitchell?

It would be hard to ascertain what the Chooks' offer would be.

Speaking of Mitchell. It was only a few years agochooks signed 3 promising teenagers from their JF. Joseph Manu, Latrell and Shaquai Mitchell. I see Shaquai has signed with manly feeder club Blacktown Workers and plays at 150kg.

Im pleased we have finally announced the arrival of BJ,some on here can get off the Valium and let Madge keep doing his magic...cant wait to see the difference in the team and their attitude this year,hopefully they step up another gear...The one thing Im really hoping for is that the injuries to our mob are very,very limited,we took some bad hits last year with players on the sidelines..

Im a strong believer that every team/club has to improve merely to tread water in the NRL. With a sub par squad, Madge overachieved lat year. With another year and off season under their belt there will be some improvement but the addition of both Leilua's, Musgrove I think he seem stronger so I would expect to be there or thereabouts again. Doubt we are going to tear up into the top 4 but we should be a shot at the 8 and from there improve again, attract more players etc.

Maybe some truth in that. Doueihi wouldn’t be staying in Sydney to sort out his future if it didn’t warrant signing of docs?

JRey injured already......he has to be the worst signing ever

Careful, there are A LOT of people in contention for that prize here.
Ballin, McQueen (assuming injury was known, WHY !?), we got some kind of Value from Blair although his style never worked at the Tigers (if we had 2x Melbourne players it may have*). Anasta seemed to half retire, half put in.

Josh Reynolds, as a signing made good sense at the time. We had just lost 3 of the big 4 and looked to be bottom of the table for 4 seasons. Sure we should have spent hard for either Maloney or Cooper Cronk, but I could imagine Maloney going the same way as Reynolds. I doubt we would have gotten either of them with where the tigers are at now let alone then (in coaching Chaos). Had jRey not signed with us I don't know if other players would have signed for us. Hindsight, it was a bad decision. But that's hindsight.

*Blair getting 3 matches while Glen Stewart got 2x was wrong. Even though every Manly player ran in got 2x weeks, it was still unfair that Blair missed that final. Blair/Glen should have gotten like for like.

B Stewart ended up destroying his knee in that fight and missed the rest of the comp....

Really never knew that

Yeah you watch the fight and the first one in was B Stewart who flew over the top with the worst punch ever, missed everything and landed next to them. That was when he did it because he fell awkwardly

Yeah I’ll never forget that run in it would of killed the guy if it connected.
