Bateman has been outstanding t for the Raiders, but at 96kg isn't exactly where Madge wants to take our forward pack, plus is likely to pick up a few more injuries against the big boys over the next few years.
Throw in Moses management ,and its a road to far for me for the $700-$800k hed want ...

Reading a few articles about what’s happening next season .. looks like the interchange is going to be significantly cut ... this means Madge’s power game looks like a thing of the past .. lighter fast forwards will be the key as the larger men will tire . So someone like Bateman would be in demand !

Theres a bit of truth in that..Madge has been trying to duplicate his premiershio winning formula from 2014,and weve signed a bunch of huge forwards for 2021.Key will be endurance and mobility.I actually thing props like Twal has has all those attributes will prove invaluable. As for Bateman...hes gonna get bashed regardless at 96kgs..and will give as good as he gets...but it will be the halves and centres who will come into play against tiring forwards.Who knows?

I have been in favour for cutting the the interchange for years , another benefit is there should be less injuries as the heavy contact with new replacements on tiring players becomes less .. all of course in theory!

Everyone thinks it will be great for the game ...everyone except the salary cap cheats who have an endless supply of quality reserves who just happen to be driving new Fords or visit Coffs..

I would have big hesitations in us loaning any player to Warriors or any team. What if we get injuries (because we will, every team does), can we get our players back? Even if the loan is only for a few weeks, I'd want to be able to get our players back straight away if we wanted to.

They said the loan deals were "conditional" so I'd be pretty certain clubs could take them back anytime.

Packer, Eisenhuth and Reynolds are being offered to the Warriors. Stefano may be released to Tigers from Eels. No reserve grade some teams are going to do the right thing allowing players to play.

As in released and signed by the Warriors or have the NRL changed their mind..?

What do Wests Tigers receive in return...?

$$$ for players we'll probably not need in 2020...except Reynolds.Odds on with an injury prone no7 and a 35 yo no6 were gonna need his sevices sometime in June at the latest!

Well..Im guessing if they play for another team ....that team picks up their salary pro rata for the period they require them.Maybe thru to the end of the season..maybe not. That was the issue with Grant and momoroski….all had to wait until Storm cld fit salary difference(approx. $250k vs 90) under their 2020 cap for the remainder of this year.
Warriors are either under their cap and/ or have been given an exemption by ARL given their circumstances to pay part of the salaries of loaned players to keep them competitive whilst isolated in Oz.
Having said all that,Im sure they've got reserves back home who only require a 14 day quarantine if brought over...?

I don’t think Packer gets a run if squad is fit. Even with one injury Eisenhuth may be preferred.

That should be in the "Dad's joke thread.

He's played a LOT of games for someone with hamstring problems.

Didn't miss a game in 18-19, only missed one in 2015 and 3 in 2014/2016. I'm not having a bar of Brooks being injury prone. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Really for a bloke whose injury prone he's missed 14 games since 2014..1 of those was suspension and 2 this year..due to a calf injury not hamstring..

Past 2 seasons played every game..

Yep, they give the Dally M halfback of the year award to the half who goes missing most throughout a season.

The best outcome for WTs is a fit and motivated Packer playing for WT.providing leadership and experience to a very young forward pack and getting game time en route to the finals,AND Stefano being loaned by eels to the Warriors and getting 1st grade experience before joining us next year to replace Packer....

The Eels won't loan Stefano out IMO. They will do as much as possible to avoid doing our club any favours as we have already seen.
Man I hope Mitch Mo chokes in the semi's and Matterson gets knocked unconscious every week. Eel scum.

I hope they don't even make the semis

NRL have apparently given the warriors approval to sign players from rival clubs on short term loan deals according to the telegraph.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a few of our boys sent there for a few weeks. Keeps them fit and gives them an opportunity to earn a spot in first grade.

I’m sure a lot of clubs would consider it. Not just us.

I agree it’s a good way to get your players some game time and see how they’re going. Warriors deserve the help too after the sacrifices they’ve made.

Interesting to see how long the hospitality lasts if the warriors start winning

They’ll be lucky to win more than 5 games this year I feel. Would be interesting to see what happens though especially if they somehow make finals.
