Liddle/Simpkin can take over the dummy half role. They’ll stick with brooks despite what people think so really it’s a 5/8 more than anything. Few young guys are available.

Reynolds played well last night, if he can stay fit he can be our 6. I'd be looking to offload Mbye before Reynolds, at least he plays with determination, passion and actually looks like he physically wants to bust his gut and have a dig. Mbye doesn't. Can't carry a passenger like that who is soaking up massive $$$$ (and sadly is the captain).
Need Sezer's goalkicking ASAP though.

In the current game I think you need a 1 that sits around the ruck , and Douehi isn't that

But we have to start somewhere with a new spine .....of the 3 players available (I'm ruling Grant out ) Marshall is in his last season ..I don't think the right player for Brooks is even out there ...and you couldn't build a spine around Reynolds imo

Douehi obviously prefers to play out the back and use his footwork and change of pace .....

Good player, just not sold on him as a fullback. He may get better with experience but time will tell.

If Liddle doesn’t work out and Simpkins not ready ..... I’d trial Brooks at hooker.
