Triple M saying Saab asked for a 2nd release and expect him to be gone next week... Fingers crossed we at lease show interest if it is granted. But I think he must have something planned because you wouldn't ask for a release unless you had something up your sleeve.

Technically he'd have to be released before he can negotiate with other clubs though that hasn't stopped players before

do we know what sort of contract he is on??

Do we have the space to sign him and flip jennings to the dragons and cover the difference?

Releasing Thompson means we have a spot needed to fill by August 3

Momo is pretty worthless, he can’t even make it into the Storm side with first and second stringers out, so this doesn’t apply to him. But can you imagine if we sent a player down there we rated highly, say Jake Simpkin. Imagine he was killing it week after week, and then whispers began that Bellamy was actively seeking to keep him there. I can’t even describe the meltdown. People would be threatening to burn down NRL headquarters, FTB would be probably hit breaking point and finally hire a hitman to take Bellamy out. It would be uglier than a Susan Boyle nude selfie.

I've looked into it......COVID has hit hard and a hitman is outta my price range. Plus watching him lose is pretty good entertainment.
If Grant stays, good. If he goes back to Melbourne, no loss, he is a good solid player but doesn't seem to have the skills of Farah. There will be other blokes to take his place IMO.

At the rate he’s going he will be the Qld hooker at the end of the season.

Anyone know how long that Tupouniua bloke is contracted at the Roosters? They have forwards coming out of their backside at the moment, and he's been stuck on the bench for about 2 years now... Maybe he'd be looking for a start somewhere else?

You could build a quality team around Burton and Brooks...Burton being the schemer and Brooks the runner.

Agree. His defence is more impressive than his attacking skillset though IMO. He was great tonight.
Would love him to be with us long-term if that plays out.

Wasnt Hoffman close to comin in on the wing anyway, so i presume he's next cab of the rank. I know nothing about Hoffman other than hes a kid from QLD and a back someone else might be able to enlighten on what his like.

Hoffman will definitely start next weekend unless Saab signs by Tuesday. Even then it's more likely for Hoffman to be named and Saab to be a reserve given he hasn't trained with us before
