Keep an eye on Charlie Staines playing for Penrith today, he’s a young talented back who I believe is available to talk to come November

He is quick and plays well.

Very quick. Still just a kid but he has skills, don’t know how likely he is to leave Penrith though. Can play anywhere in the backline including fullback

He is not a Panther junior but another good country player from Forbes.

Panthers group has bought so many small RSL and Leagues clubs, anything west of Kellyville is Penrith

My young bloke plays div 1 for Emu plains and at every game there’s always 2 Pamfers talent scouts with their clipboards ..
Massive nursery to scout from .

No doubt. My point is Bathurst, Wellington, Wagga Wagga etc, these places are all Pamfers nursery now too because of money poured into local clubs. These kids are brought from the bush into SG Ball

Exactly, in today’s 17 there were kids from Dubbo, Forbes, Parkes, Wellington, and more in the extended squad

Stupid part of all this is we could have based ourselves in Campbelltown years ago, poured the money into junior development in west and southwest NSW and had the same sort of programs in place. Instead for 20 years we have bumbled and fumble our way along as a club with no real home and even now have plonked ourselves down in the centre of Sydney forever. This club will always be playing catch up.

I dislike copying others' methods.
However, as much as I also dislike the Eels and Brad Arthur, I cannot ignore how they have advanced since their wooden spoon.
Their recruitment has been an eye-opener.
I feel that Wests Tigers are just beginning to escape the tragic misdeeds of Cleary and others, the salary cap anomalies are slowly being reversed and countered, and I am optimistic of what's to come.

Arthur has been lucky to survive the axe in previous years and now it’s paying dividends from sticking

I grew up around narromine in the 90s. Penrith pretty much owned the nursery back then. I think the difference to now is that they look after them better when they first move to Sydney.
I knew a few that came home within 6 months

There are certain clubs that are very loyal to the Panthers, St Marys,Windsor,Emu Plains and St Clair in particular.
I played at Lower Blue Mountains for 20 years and every player that ever made a Rep squad would get sent to one of those clubs.
If they were good enough to make it to the NRL they never mentioned Lower Blue Mountains.

You know our owners may be called Wests, but they are based in Ashfield. Always have been.

Mate in 1908 Ashfield was "West". Strathfield was far West. Just that West got much bigger in 100 years.

Cade Cust resigned with Manly for two years. CHN on the Tigers and Roosters radar for next year. Brooks on shaky ground and if Reynolds not suspended his position would have been under serious competition. All according to Christian Nicolussi in SMH

Me I would still rest Brooks even without Grub, he needs to be sent a clear message that he is not up to NRL standard, I would play Walters in Brooks spot, how many chances does Brooks get

Notch that up as a win for the Roosters.
Probably will replace everyone’s mate Aubo.

Yeah well, where would you go?

He would be a bench backrower behind Cordner and Crighton, he would start in our team

Im more interested in winning games than sending messages. D o you really think Walters is an improvement on Brooks?

It’s funny how Brooks is only on shaky ground now when there is really no one else available to replace him. He should’ve been on shaky ground weeks ago! Harry Grant has been the one controlling this team and he’s only been here 10 minutes!

I’ve been hanging to see a Reynolds/Marshall halves combo go around again, but Brooks is always the common denominator that is never removed. Madge could try Walters next week, but with Reynolds out he probably won’t.

You saw it in games 1 & 2 this year, it was awful.

Yes i'm aware. But up until 2013 so was Wests Campbelltown.

Think you are totally wrong.

I have named these two players on the forum before and been written off by many as usual. In this era of bash and barge rugby league there is a lack of players with pure speed, awesome footwork and good ball skills. Ilikena Vudogo & Terry Wapi although have not had a taste of NRL have these attributes and what we like to call X - Factor. I know you are going to say there nobody’s and never heard of them the same way I suggested a few years back Jamayne Isaako and Brent Naden before that made their debuts that season. Anyway do some research and check out highlights on Ilikena Vudogo & Terry Wapi and make your own opinion on whether you think these two are worthy or not.

You did, and we all read it.

We don't have dementia.

Nm the regulars on here mate,
Who are they? What is there background? Bio? Ages?

Tatou Moga. Having a decent game, making up for lost time.
What’s he had something like 3-4 knee reconstructions?
Still playing without fear.
