Curtis Rona or Daniel Tupou? Not sure whether Wests Tigers would take both when the team desperately needs quality back rowers.

1\. Lolohea
2\. Rona
3\. Fonua
4\. Suli
5\. Tupou
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks

Would be the best backline we've had in years…

If our backrow isnt dramatically improved it will make little difference, it was poor at the start of the year and i dont see much change

Nofo has to be in our team.

1\. Lolohea
2\. Nofo
3\. Fonua
4\. Suli
5\. Rona/Tupou
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks

One of Rona/Tupou to bide their time in reserve grade until an injury comes up. I think Milne will also be in reserve grade.

If we can just get one gun left side winger our backline looks heaps better.

I think we really need some forwards now.

Did everyone enjoy watching Turdesco set up Mitchell Pearce for a try again last night?

Love the sarcasm. Well here's some bluntness…
I thought it was sickening, but then again I am biased.

I disagree. Rona and Tupou are both significantly stronger than Nofo.

Agree we need some more forwards badly. One or two props and a good back rower. McQueen will be good on one side but we need someone on the other side.

Agree. If we don't strengthen significantly in the forwards our backline purchases will be a waste of money

I like Nofo and believe that he has the club at heart, but if the above mentioned wingers come, he should be in ISP, honing his defensive skills cos we won't have to accept his standard of defence anymore

Do we have to rotate our ground? He ran try line to try line for that, not like the cross field garbage he serves up for us. I notice that he has pulled out tomorrow with a heartlidge problem. Expect captain caveman to follow suit soon

Tupou has had a half decent season when he's off contract. Would expect decent money. For those saying he is better than Nofa, hopefully you are wrong as he has been signed long term on good money

Tedesco nearly blew that try by passing too early before committing Slater to the tackle. Still, it was a try and any try against the Queenslanders is a good try.

Nofa has to fix his defence but he is our best runner out of own end and his value is huge.
If we sign Rona and Tupou which would be bad cap management and highly unlikely, I'd have more faith in Nofa as a fullback than Tui.

I take it you are referring to Nofa, not Tupou, when you say he has been signed long term by Wests Tigers?

Are you saying that Tupou has been signed by Wests Tigers?

No he is talkingabout Nofo

Nofo has been very disappointing lately. If Tupou came, I don't see Nofo playing firsts.

So 300k per year for 4 years for someone to play reserve grade?
If that is the case and the club is looking for a replacement, then there is no one other than the current management to blame for that.
The bright side is that I don't think we will have any trouble offloading him, there will be plenty of clubs willing to take him.
I am starting to question the intelligence and football knowledge of some on this forum. Nofa is hopeless and needs to go, but Jorge Tafua is great and we should sign him. Have the people making these comments watched any games in the last 3 years

Tupou story may have legs as perhaps our recruitment is not willing to wait until August-September before the ARU signs off on decision to flick Western Force …. and Rona.

I think Nofo has been good for the bulk of the season, mainly in taking the ball out hard from his own line. As alluded to many times on this forum, he is defensively inept - maybe Cleary can assist as its his glaring weakness. More recently he is also making those little mistakes to let the other side back in the game - most recently a couple of bombs dropped inside the 20, one which ended up a Sharkies try on the next set.

I do believe he also signed that contract when the club was on its knees - coach gone, players leaving and they partially needed a feel good story. I would have kept him but I reckon they might have paid overs in doing so.

YEs, I highly doubt we will be signing both tupou AND Rona. One or the other. Personally, would prefer Rona.

Hearing that Tupou is a plan B for Rona if the Force don't fold. Tigers are confident of gaining Rona at this stage, just preparing for a back up, as all clubs should. Talks have been ongoing with Curtis & his management, and it just depends on the WF folding, due to his family living over there and his reluctance to come back if the force stay in Super Rugby. Watch this space.
