Widdop is good and all

But geez I would love it if we dug our fingers into the SL market a bit more

A lot of good talent there

Widdop has been a fine player but shouldn't we trust in our own young players? Madden, Camroux and Field all look good prospects.

Will Madden be ready for 2021 season? I haven’t seen enough of him to know.

He played well in the trial against the Panthers. You never know until you use him. We've purchased experienced halves in Mbye and Reynolds. Has it been a success? Time to trust in our scouting and development

Hopefully he gets some game time this year.

I suspect Kyle Flannigan will end up at the Dragons with his father as head coach in the next year or two.

I agree. Roosters using him to tie them over until Walker is ready?

So Widdop is going to come all the way back to Oz, only to get involved in a player swap to come to us. Doubtful.

He also moved over here when he was 16. Surely he's a citizen by now or at least a PR.

If C Smith retires, money freed up to buy Widdop. Widdop to half back, Hughes to centre, Grant to hooker and B Smith to lock. Addo Carr and Johnstone swap clubs. No club wants Norman so St Chockers stuck with him and no money unless Frizzel frees up money

Tbh I don't know why we'd consider Aitken. We have Talau and Leilua locked in for next year i would have thought (who imo are better than Aitken).

agree i think Aitken is a centre or nothing not quick enough for wing i guess and now that talau is going into centres no real need.
It is interesting though he wont be re signed by saints
