Absolute rubbish. When players are performing well in their positions I’ll praise them to the hilt. When they are poor they deserved to be called out. Being a fan doesn’t mean being blind.

Crazy idea and probably a bad one but hear me out. We have young halves coming through but probably not ready yet, we have many halves in the squad so it would be a waste to sign another one next year.

With Brooks at 6, I wonder if it’s worth giving Mbye a go at 7 next year. He’s our captain, a natural half and maybe putting him there might bring the best out of him by giving him that responsibility.

Yep absolutely crazy idea, you got that right. Mybe is a natural nothing. I would say being at 9 this week is probably Mbye’s last chance. The next step is out of here. Mybe is a sympathy Captain, that’s all. Should never have been appointed captain and inspires absolutely no one.

Yeah Madge definitely seems the kind of coach to give the captaincy out of sympathy and not hard work

At best maybe Madge may have been hoping it would encourage Mbye to go to the next level. It has had the exact opposite effect. Mybe would have to be one of, if not the worst captain Wests Tigers has ever had.

Mbye is captain of a club who is slowly turning their culture around and he’s part of that whether You like it or not. As a player he’s not been that good, but it’s hilarious when people think that Madge would’ve picked someone out of pity. Madge makes selections off hard work and as fans we’ll never see what happens behind the scenes that influenced Madge’s choice.

Mbye is a dud. Full stop.
Offers no leadership qualities whatsoever out on the field. He's a mute.
That experiment has failed, time to change.

As much as Scott Prince turned maggot the way he left our club, as a captain he was great. Always pushing, barking at teammates to keep the effort up- even in games we were winning comfortably. He was always striving for more out of them. I haven't seen Mbye say boo out on the field this year at least.

It’s almost like a half has to bark orders all game. Can’t say I see many centres doing that much talking out on the field. Clearly Mbye leads where it counts besides on the field, the fans see about 10% of everything the players do. Madge doesn’t pick someone as captain for no reason, he trusts Mbye to help rebuild the club and change the culture.

Madge makes mistakes, he’s normal like everyone else. Just like the Jennings signing making Mbye captain was a mistake by Madge.

Widdop is good and all

But geez I would love it if we dug our fingers into the SL market a bit more

A lot of good talent there

Widdop has been a fine player but shouldn't we trust in our own young players? Madden, Camroux and Field all look good prospects.

Will Madden be ready for 2021 season? I haven’t seen enough of him to know.

This lack of lower grades is killing us.

Camroux resembles a young Moses without as much attitude. At present he'd only be eligible to play after July next year though. Madden should replace Benji once we can no longer make the finals. Absolutely no point playing Benji after that point.

Watched a few Sydney Shield & Presidents Cup games over the weekend. Decent standard without being spectacular but plenty of youngsters having a run. Even Gagai's younger bro was playing in the centres for Syd Uni and bagged a few meat pies.

Given the unusual nature of the season our club should be striking deals to loan our fringe/younger players to these clubs. I'm unsure as to our professional relationship with those teams but surely some arrangement could be made so that the players don't miss out on a whole year of development

Rizk's playing for Ryde Eastwood
https://www.playrugbyleague.com/Competitions/Match/ryde-eastwood-hawks-ss-v-cronulla-caringbah-sharks-ss-374506

Curtis Wilson on the bench too. Felix Smith playing for Campbelltown but they have the bye this week.

From last year's Jersey Flegg:

* Burey to union.

* What's happened to Mavoni?

* Where has Dillon gone?

* What about Kei? Should be in our top 30 next year.

* Stefanovic - half?

Kei would be a development player if anything. Kids not even played reserve grade.

He played on the wing in the round 1 win over the Dragons.

Madge has his reasons, Mbye has been captain a good while now despite fans calling for his head.

I’ve always thought the captain should be in the spine as they do majority of the talking. Having your captain as a centre winger or forwards and they won’t have the same impact

Not even close. Until he goes on national television, throws the club under the bus than walks out, then maybe.

You reckon Farah should be looked on as a worse captain than Mbye? Not one of the smartest things you have said.
Farah busted his ring every week and demanded his teammates follow. Mbye would make a great politician by comparison.

He means Woods

Not one of the smartest things I've said. Indeed! Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten all about Shazza.

All good mate, I would have been onboard with you if I thought he meant Farah

Mbye could’ve trained the house down preseason. Could of been picked for culture reasons aswell as not being one of the old guard Madge also expects each player to have leadership qualities

It also means to support the boys for better or worse so to speak, we all get frustrated but being a fan is being loyal

I’ll support the Wests Tigers no matter what, that’s loyalty, but I will not blindly praise players that simply should be elsewhere.

Being a loyal fan and supporting the club is one thing BUT being taken for a fool supporting mediocrity every year is tiresome. I don't know why i keep renewing my memebership. I'm over it ! I won't attend anymore games,unless they make the finals.

Replacing Jennings with Saab for next season is very good business.

Madge is slowly getting rid of the older, worse players and replacing them with younger talents. Marsters for Leilua, Thompson for AJ, and hopefully Jennings for Saab.

Marsters is actually younger than Lucy.

by not supporting players you are in effect not supporting the club .....
Mmbye is our captain at the moment and not the worst player either. We have other koala's in this team too
at the end of the day it is wests tigers will support whoever they pick to run out in the team colours

Good attitude??? I see a guy out there who is on massive dollars and hardly has any positive effect in the game, I don’t see him blow up at all when the team are down, ppl rip on brooks for lack of personality and enthusiasm, Mbye is far worst then brooks in that department.
His attitude is IDGAF like... while taking a chunk of the cap space.
Mbye is a bench player, coming off the bench I think Mbye would be so much more effective.
(Just my opinion)

not Bollocks Mike
i dont like Nofo or other members of the team but where does it get you... Madge picks the team you either support the team and the players or you dont
