We have young halves coming through but probably not ready yet, we have many halves in the squad so it would be a waste to sign another one next year.
With Brooks at 6, I wonder if it’s worth giving Mbye a go at 7 next year. He’s our captain, a natural half and maybe putting him there might bring the best out of him by giving him that responsibility.
Yep absolutely crazy idea, you got that right. Mybe is a natural nothing. I would say being at 9 this week is probably Mbye’s last chance. The next step is out of here. Mybe is a sympathy Captain, that’s all. Should never have been appointed captain and inspires absolutely no one.
At best maybe Madge was hoping it would encourage Mbye to go to the next level. It has had the exact opposite effect. ***Mybe would have to be one of, if not the worst captain Wests Tigers has had.***
Not even close. Until he goes on national television, throws the club under the bus than walks out, then maybe.
You reckon Farah should be looked on as a worse captain than Mbye? Not one of the smartest things you have said.
Farah busted his ring every week and demanded his teammates follow. Mbye would make a great politician by comparison.
He means Woods
Not one of the smartest things I've said. Indeed! Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten all about Shazza.
Not often you see a captain leave a club for a bigger contract. Don’t blame him for leaving mind you, but looks so bad when your captain walks out on you.
I think it goes deeper than that. It was not simply the case of a captain leaving for a better offer. While he "pretended" to negotiate with us he was secretly meeting with the Dogs and attempting to convince them to take Tedesco and Moses as well.
Let's be clear about this; this is the club captain shopping himself and our best players around to another club while they pretended to be continuing negotiations with us.!
It was a gross act of disloyalty !
I'll never forgive him for that. Not that my censure would worry him - although I will say that his career has been on a downward spiral ever since - poetic justice I say !
