Josh Addo-Carr and Katoni Staggs immediately

Both bring supreme pace and Staggs can goal kick

2. David Nofoaluma
3. BJ Leiluia
4. Katoni Staggs
5. Josh Addo-Carr

Tommy Talau should be given a go at 6 - apparently that’s his best position, kid has talent and is worth experimenting there over Benji that’s for sure..... if his ball playing skills are good and he seems to be decent under the high ball, I wouldn’t mind him maybe even transitioning him into a fullback one day down the track and seeing how he goes there

650k at Staggs - 21 years old
450k at JAC - 25 years old

McQueen and Reynolds combined are being paid more and they don’t even play...... both still young and have tremendous pace and upside, if Madge is serious about rebuilding this side these two need to be targeted!

We need to be aggressive in the market, but this time done correctly and not after players like Mbye and Reynolds

Sounds great. Problem is we'll need at least 700k minimum for JAC and probably a bit more than what you mentioned for Staggs.

Then you have Doueihi, Reynolds, Mbye, Staggs, JAC, BJ, Brooks, Packer all on more than 600k each. Don't think we have anywhere near the cap space to fit them in.

The only way out of this mess is punting on youth IMO.

There’s no chance JAC gets 700k anywhere.... 500k will do him, would be an increase on his current deal

Staggs is still only 21 so I doubt he’d get more than 650k anywhere else

Staggs deal would commence by the time Reynolds and Packer are off contract as next year is there last season

McQueen and Farah money also will be available...

Funds wise we’ll be more than capable of acquiring both players imo

Disagree. If Cotric got 650k to go to the dogs, there is no way JAC is coming here for 500k.

Farah money would be already spent. If you’re talking 2022 then sure there will be enough cash, but I’d like to think we’d be spending it on a half, fullback or top class forward.

The only wat out is to punt highly paid uneccessary non- achievers like MBye and Co.

The reason Canberra didn’t keep him, is cause they offered him a contract based on a winger salary

Bulldogs got him to play centre, by doing so had to fork out more money hence why he went there

There’s a positive side to the Panthers winning the GF this year ? and that is, the winner seems to find it hard to hold onto all the GF players due to their value going up. So Viliame Kikau and Stephen Crichton anyone?.

I don't think Kikau would handle Madge as a coach though

How so?

Cause he is a bit of a bludger.

Doesn't go looking for the ball to take hard hitups very often etc. imo.

I've never seen a player get wraps for his decoy work load.

I didn't say I don't rate Kikau - don't put words in my mouth.

Let alone comparing Front rowers with second rowers.

Panthers can afford to carry his light work load because they have others
to do the tough runs etc. guys like Yeo, Fisher Harris and Martin.

We have ? He wouldn't work in the team we have now imo.

No one is giving raps to Packer for his decoy work (although he made the runs).

He was waiting for the ball each time though - did Mbye give him the ball ... no, of course not.

Blame Packer for only 4 hit ups though.

We all have our favorites Hobbo - and our non favorites - you are no different.

True, because we only have decoys.

Trouble is most of them are decoys that are carrying the ball.

You look at both Newcastle and Parra, both targeted established quality players in their re build to get up the ladder. Okay they had some really good kids coming through but the surrounded them with experienced winners.

We can sign up 30 of the best kids in the country but nothing will change till you get some winners to show them the way. I guess you have to wonder how are they going to convince quality players to join up

Unfortunately mate decoy runs don’t mean squat and to be fair Packer is a proven bludger .
Agree on Kikau though..

Good in a good team that can carry him like the Panthers

Would be bog average in the current tigers team

You are right Russell

No good in our team

He would never get the chance to play the hero near the opposition tryline
