I said 2 months ago he wanted to play again and the media would keep going on about it, it is a distraction we don't need, and Benji is a player we don't need

If he’s still giving me an average of 15 runs for 150 meters with 99% tackling efficiency playing every game this season, along with being a well known leader and along with having NSW and kangaroo experience then I don’t care if he’s 100 years old he doesn’t seem to be slowing down

And he’s only actually 31 will be 32 throughout next season....

So he is playing pretty well in a pack that includes Fisher Harris, Kikau & Tetevano, so we get his last 3 years, when he goes off? Do yo understand what EVERY players last few years are like? Panthers are getting the best of him and it doesnt stand out, why should we sign up for less?

I'm not sure about Brooks at 6...remember when we had Moses, we were criticized because we were playing 2 genuine halfbacks in our halves (Moses at 6 and Brooks at 7) and they always wanted the ball over the other.

That got Robbie sacked.

Please be true, I don't care if he plays elsewhere, I just don't want him to play here, I said ages ago he wanted to play again, but I was shot down, he obviously doesn't rewatch the matches he plays then

Expect Brisbane to have a clean out after this season from hell
Cowboys will also shed players
Both teams have been power houses but find themselves struggling like us

So how do all the teams outside the 8 improve their Rosters
The top teams will want to keep their players but the most successful will struggle to hold on to all players coming off contract as many of these players will want a pay upgrade and may move clubs to get it
The bottom teams will want to release players who have not performed and this will be where most movement will happen
Most likely we will end up with players released by bottom 8 clubs
Or we do what Canberra has done and we look abroad

I like what Madge has done trying to sign the best youth but these players are years away from their best
We need proven work horses and cool experienced heads at our team

You just need to look at the Melbourne teams over the years and more so the Qld state of origin teams that never seemed to panic when behind but on most occasions managed to win a game from no where or calmly just stay in front

Having a game manager is a must
Someone who can hold the fort together
A good Talker who can direct the team around the paddock
Someone with plenty of experience
A kicker both of goals and on field
Yes i would be happy with Gareth Widdop on a 2 year deal
