Who cares? NRL teams each wear about 100 different jerseys per season at the moment.

True. In past times a team stayed true to their jersey and colours but nowadays a team's jersey is only seen as merchandise. You can see that especially with all the different types they trot out each year - heritage, indigenous, women in league, Marvel superheroes etc.

JAC has nothing to offer but speed … absolutely nothing.

Certainly had nothing to offer us. You're the comedian, I saw him the other week and Rankin looked like a superstar compared to my brother JAC.

Russell… russell... rusell... you blind AF. Rankin had 7 tries in 22 games and JAC had 6 tries in 9 games. The facts clearly states JAC is better than Rankin.

Have Rona and Tupou been confirmed?

No. Nobody has been confirmed recently. Milne was probably the last a few weeks ago. The status of the rumours in this thread is:
- Rona: possibly agreed to sign with Tigers subject to Force folding
- Tupou: possibly signed already
- Watson: likely to get a release from Roosters with Knights and Tigers after him, some suggestion he has signed for the Tigers who made a fanciful offer
- Brenton Lawrence: possibly been made an offer but also courting interest from Roosters and ESL (Knights should also get in the game for him)
- Jeremy Latimore: possibly been made an offer, not heard of any other clubs pursuing him
- Alex Glenn: possibly been made an offer but Brisbane are keen to keep him and are offloading elsewhere (Ese'ese and Ofahengaue)
- Albert Vete: possibly been made an offer but Titans are also after him and Warriors are now keen to keep him
- Morgan Boyle: possibly been made an offer with a number of clubs chasing him (ours is said to be the highest offer)

I spent a good two or three years defending that bloke while he was injured or under performing. Three coaches couldn't get the best out of him, he had to go somewhere where he couldn't live off his surname.

Competition is healthy, Rona and Tupou can do all that and more.

I agree, the fact that Siro is playing some decent footy now but couldn't get himself there in the last 5 years is all on Siro.

Don't know if people forget but Curtis debuted under TIM SHEENS that's how long he's been in the system, and under 3 coaches as you note.

He's a bum and I wouldn't be surprised, if Manly's overall team form declined, Siro would probably drop with them.

But personally I don't think Siro is doing all that much, he's playing alright, at a medium level I'd expect from a FGer, certainly not excelling.

In 2017 Siro averages 74.3 metres per game, 0.3 LB, 25.6 tackles (10% missed), 0.7 errors. Hardly dynamic output, but he's scored 5 tries so people are seeing him on some highlights footage running over the top of Valentine Holmes.

Give me back Marty Taupau, he's the guy we actually miss - 181 metres and 4 offloads per game. > 200 metres run for the last 3 weeks straight.

The only issue with Tupou is he is wildly inconsistent and bombs plenty of tries. This is with the Roosters who are a well oiled machine. He is a massive risk but comparing him to Kev who he would replace it's a no brainer. I wouldn't be paying more than 350 - 400 for him and that's stretching it.

I would prefer we signed Rona over Tupou and used the cash for a bruising forward. Tupou is rocks or diamonds in a great Roosters squad. He is worth the risk as he's better than what we have but won't be a huge issue either way.

I predicted last year that he would have a good season, just didn't pick that he would be doing it over at Manly. I also said that Brooks was going to have a good year as well and that didn't go to Plan. :brick:

Why would Rona be doubtful? Are you assuming Force stay in the comp?
