Garners biggest problem is effort on effort. He simply doesn’t dig deep enough and I’m sure thats what Madge doesn’t like. His work rate is low compared to the better edge players around. If he could somehow pull his finger out he could be something, but i think that’s a trait players either have or they don’t - and certainly they don’t develop it at the Tigers currently.

Hetherington is an impact forward we have lacked for many years. As I said previously, IC may still have a soft spot for WTs. Not being greedy Mr Cleary but we would like Staines as well. He'll combine well with JAC.

Sounds like a good option.

I dont agree with Hooper in that we struggle to bend the line. If the pack contains Musgrve. Aloiai, Mikale, Blore, Stef,Twal Lucy etc i dont think we lack impact.

What we lack is smart halves who give the forwards a chance to not burn out with smart and controlled football.

Said this at the start of the season we should go after Hetherington! He’s a deadset GUN! A born enforcer and a deadset lunatic similar to Brandon Smith, John Bateman and Victor Radley! You need these type of players to win premierships! Players with no fear whatsoever to throw their body at anything that moves! Would run thru brick walls for Madge! Got great skills with the ball as well, huge motor, would be the perfect lock fwd for us, super late offload! Must BUY imo for 2021 🔥🔥🤙🏽🐯

Sure is, Hetherington has nothing to do with Ivan, he was there and playing well in the lower grades before Ivan even came along! I wanted us to sign him 2 years ago when Hook was still coaching them.

Sure is, Hetherington has nothing to do with Ivan, he was there and playing well in the lower grades before Ivan even came along! I wanted us to sign him 2 years ago when Hook was still coaching them.

I don't think it would be bittersweet.....it would just be sweet....I think the kid would have the fire to stick it up Ivan if he was let go

I'm with you but starting to get abit jack if the JAC saga. Just have a bad feeling about him and id rather move on from him rather than play second fiddle to souths or held to ransom by the storm, JAC aint the be all and end all for us. If we were able to sign both Tamou and Hetherington, that would put a big smile on my face and id be happy to keep our eyes open for other talent.

With the amount of props we have next season I’d be surprised if we got him without releasing someone. We need second rowers more than props but I’d be happy to take him

As far as halves go,I can’t see us signing another half,the reason given for Benji not being offered another contract was the team has too many halves on its books,if Reynolds is moved on then maybe?
