Really we seem to sit on our hands when it comes to signing players , we get locked in with 1 or 2 players and when they fall throw , the other clubs have picked the best of the rest . We will end up with nothing but inexperienced players , we need hard nosed forwards who run hard and hit harder , not young kids .

Inside knowledge of our dealings with players or just going of what's in the media?

Pretty clearly just the media and this forum.
2022 is when we'll have some good signings.

Well correct 2021 we can't have much movement because of Mybe/Reynolds/Packer and we should be able to get 5 good players based upon what there on.

Media already writing us off in 2021, just need to selectively smart with whom we purchase knowing these 3 players won't be on the books the following year.

It’s ok to have the money to sign good players but getting them to sign on with the tigers is another thing.
Apart from harry we don’t have a good record in getting the good ones

Mbye is signed until end of 2022

Well that's another year of misery on $950k unless we off load him to the Titans.
Although i did not mind him at fullback again the last few games of the season.
Good utility player as back up worth maybe half of what he is on at best, will be interesting to see where Madge fits him in as can't see him playing centre next season.

Well more of a history of letting the good ones go.
Record poor in relation to players from other clubs.
Starting to turn that around slowly still will be a another year of pain until we start off loading more.

Titans won't touch Mbye with a 10 foot barge pole with a hook on the end

Well they seem smarter now with there contracts.
Agree those rumors have seemed to ceased.
I do know he was playing with a dodgy knee most of this season but his lack of effort appalling, wondered why Madge kept selecting him but in reality not much options.

I do not agree the Sironens should on the list, they both were given plenty of chances, but miserably failed. Even Garner or MCK are better then any of them! But I would add N Brown, R Stone and Suli to the list.

That's the irony sometimes with people. They have great potential but don't reach it either through attitude, being in the same system too long or perhaps poor leadership. Give them the flick - they have a light bulb moment and start to realise they actually need to do work to reach their potential.

We should do whatever it takes to get Nathan Brown back to our club. When he was here before he was just a chubby kid with anger problems. He was brilliant last night in a beaten side, he's become a real leader.

Reading the 1 Eyed Eel forum after Jennings got busted, some were saying “no wonder Nathan Brown wants out at the end of his contract”.
Parramatta might be the harmonious club that they make out that they are.

Would we stoked if we got him by some chance.

Apart from that garbage he pulled that night against us he is a great player. Full of energy and a genuine ball-playing threat. He was everywhere last night.

Definitely isn’t a harmonious club. All their juniors leave because of how they get treated I’ve heard personally about it by players who have left

Much as I rate Madge, be silly not to have a crack at Bennett. Amazing coach. Wouldn't have to be worried about the inevitable rebuild after we win the premiership, we seem to be doing that every year anyway🤔

No thanks. This is not the time to be even thinking about changing coaches. Talk about insanity. What we need is stability and support for Madge.

So i just read that Dogs have got Jack Hetherington, Raider got C Aekins from Panthers...

So my concern is that other clubs are clearly working on recruitment regardless if in finals or not and our CEO and Coach are on holidays..
Now don't get me wrong as they are fully entitled to have holidays like everyone else and won't judge until end of off season but I sure hope they have players lined up and are just holding off on announcements. If not, to me that is just not acceptable because this is a critical period for recruitment and cannot be just sitting back and waiting for leftovers. I know in my workplace there are certain times we are not allow to have annual leave due to workloads etc.. They expect us fans to keep renewing memberships, buying Team Merchandise, Tickets to games etc to keep this team afloat but cannot take recruitment or at least show fans they are serious about it.
We also haven't even announce any resigning of current players that we intend to keep so fingers crossed we are in for a good 4-6 weeks ahead. Rant over

Stay strong jonesy.

You need to breathe mate, people can take a week's holiday and not miss out on signings. And as pointed out the actual recruitment people may not be on holiday.

Or to put it another way, even if the entire Tigers organisation was on holiday right now for two weeks, who is the footballer that signs for the opposition only because one of their suitors is on holiday for a few weeks? For deals worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, done in the offseason, you take your time and get your best and final offers from all parties before making an informed decision.

And if you don't do that, you are incompetent and the club is better off not dealing with you.

Anyone thinking back to JAC signing with Storm when Pascoe was briefly out, the bloke was gone already; you don't sign on for an opponent if you really want to stay and are waiting for your incumbent club to give you their offer.
