Unless they are holidaying in regional Turkmenistan

Right but have you ever been to regional Turkmenistan? So beautiful this time of year and very easy to socially distance.

Much as I rate Madge, be silly not to have a crack at Bennett. Amazing coach. Wouldn't have to be worried about the inevitable rebuild after we win the premiership, we seem to be doing that every year anyway🤔

We had him last time but the Donkeys wouldn't release him when WTS wanted him so the deal called off and Madge arrived.

I wouldnt want him anywhere near the club.

It will be interesting what we do from here:

2021

**Option A:** give up on recruiting for a while...cop some heat...and just sit it out in the event of other teams need to clear room come Jan / Feb. Risky if no one becomes available / risky also if you end up with guys like DWZ. Best available player rather than what you really need.

**Option B:** Take on some big names who are openly being offloaded: Lodge, Bird, Moylan etc. Probably could make 7-8th IF they all had good years / injury free. Massive trouble if they did not.

**OptionC:** Aim at 2022. Build slowly...it will mean finishing 10-14th etc in 2021 and copping a year of bad media / fan's frustration...Madge and co will be hammered...but can position ourselves with young players 'and' cap space by 2022.

Personally, I feel like C is the best option. I can't imagine Madge letting 2021 go though...

Another top player Wests tigers let go. Commentary from today's Bledisloe Cup match; "Perfect timing from O'Connor, perfect finish from Koroibete. He's a John Eales Medallist for a reason."

If of interest, the Wallaby half. Nic White is Jock Madden's cousin.

I get the feeling C is what Madge is going for to be honest. Plenty of young fellas will be getting a run next season and it might be more of a development/building year for the players and the team as a whole.

Personally don’t think we will make finals next year currently (anything can happen of course) and the main focus will be on developing our younger players and in 2022 we can sign some proven talent to round the team out and push for finals.

Might depend on whether Madge gets extended a year or not. If 2021 stays as his last year there might be some different decisions in regard to the team compared to if he signs for 2022 as well.

Assistant coach and that’s it. He’ll be gone in 3 years time anyways

We should do whatever it takes to get Nathan Brown back to our club. When he was here before he was just a chubby kid with anger problems. He was brilliant last night in a beaten side, he's become a real leader.

Great player. We have to make sure we keep these types of players through our juniors into first grade. Retention is our biggest problem of juniors and recruits currently playing at other cubs Tatola, Siro, Moses, Paseka, Tedesco, Papynhuyzen, Matterson, Taupau, Woods, Korobiete it’s a big list of quality players vs our current roster. You can’t keep them all but it’s mind blowing.

That’s a very mixed list there not all our juniors.

Was told he signed with the Bulldogs yesterday.
They backed out of the Blake Green deal. He will go in as an assistant coach at the Knights.
There is a chance Mitchell Pearce comes back to the Tigers or Roosters next year.

After your Tolman joke you are the forum member who cried wolf. This one seems even less likely.

Not a joke this time I’m usually hit and
miss and admit it. Hetherington will end up at Dogs and Pearce roosters.

Pearse won't go back to the Roosters
Signing Gronk after Pearce gave his all to the Roosters would have been a hard pill to swallow

I Reckon if Pearce leaves the Knights he will probably go to the Dogs
We all know how much he loves the Dogs

Reading the 1 Eyed Eel forum after Jennings got busted, some were saying “no wonder Nathan Brown wants out at the end of his contract”.
Parramatta might be the harmonious club that they make out that they are.

that was the best read I'd had in a long, long time.....

Someone on there did a fantastic breakdown of their defensive problems a little while ago. Really good read.

Otherwise it’s a laugh.

I took it as Dylan Brown, not Nathan. Dylan is keen to play for the All Blacks.

He won’t even get a look in to play for the all blacks at half or flyhalf. Not a chance in hell

No thanks. This is not the time to be even thinking about changing coaches. Talk about insanity. What we need is stability and support for Madge.

How many coaches did roosters have before they got it right?
Players want to play for Bennett. I'm not the biggest fan of him, but he can coach

Players wanting to play for the coach is not our problem. Players on long contracts we are paying overs for is. Until this Cap debacle is sorted it won’t matter who the coach is, we will be limited on who we can sign.

Disregarding the cleary contracts bro. Players wanting to come to the tigers is a problem for whatever reasons. I think Bennett will fix this.

Would fix it, but I'd almost bet my life he won't ever be a coach here.
