Flanagan deserves another shot without the Keary influence affecting his ability.

Said the Brooks fans never. .

Keary deserves a bigger kick in the ass imo

If memory is correct Adam Blair left Wests Tigers early on compassionate grounds. Slightly simialar to what Addo Carr is seeking except Wests Tiger, unlike Melbourne, did' not ask for an equal ability replacement as part of the replacement.

Because we release anyone who wants out even if we hold a contract in our favour. Melbourne on the other hand a professionally run serious club who play hardball. It’s hard to imagine we haven’t made the finals for a decade whilst they keep running top 4...

I think Flanagan at 1/2 and move brooks to 5/8 so he can run the ball more would work for us , plus flanagans goal kicking wins u games .

Then where does AD go?

Does he offer much more than Brooks? AD goal kicking was ok and should improve over the off season.

I think if we need to move Brooks, then he needs to go all together.

Flanagan had 1 run in two finals games and god knows how many missed tackles. The only thing he could bring to his team was goalkicking. Put him in a team like ours and that's just not good enough. We can't afford to carry that sort of output.

Well if true that Barrett likes him for the dogs , that tell me that he had something , remember Barrett has been the attack coach at the panthers

I don't think Flanagan is the answer, but if we could find a decent half or 5/8th then you put AD at centre.

I think he has something too, but i think he is a couple of years away still. The last thing Wests Tigers fans, members etc want to hear is "next year".

TBH Douhi would probably be our best 7, 6, 4 and 1 at the moment. We need more Adams.

We have another one called Moses. tried in a couple of positions but people want to move them. Master's of nothing. brought as a fullback but has to be moved because not quite good enough but paid to much to be dropped.

I understand your point, difference is Mbye isn't our best option in any position IMO ?Adam is.

Some Chook supporters are blaming Flanagan for Tedesco not being as effective in attack and having to spend more time at dummy half. Seems he is being made the scapegoat for a poor finish.

Mbye at his best is a much better fullback than AD

I think the little we saw showed AD’s best position is 5/8
Mbye will have to do for the next two years at fullback.hopefully we land JAC (not counting on it)
I wonder how AJ would go there?given he trains a full off season under the high ball

I still want to see how AD goes in the trials at 5/8th, just haven't seen enough yet to know if he will be consistent in the position but I would be giving him the offseason and trials there. Even if we sign JAC, I still expect to see Mbye in 1.

Yeah I’ve got no idea what his kicking game is like.
I’ve got a small glimmer of hope mbye can be a decent fullback.really didn’t get much of chance there this season.bring on the long wait to see the 2021 squad ?

Mbye needs to do a lot of work under the highball this offseason.

That was his biggest issue at fullback. He’s got decent positioning, good at organising the defence, solid tackler good runner good passing just couldn’t catch a ball to save his life

Looked better this year but still was shaky didn’t look fully confident yet

I think we should look for similar combo that Raiders have. Strong big, mobile, skilful game manager at 5/8 combined with Brooks would be my go.
That’s why I believe someone like Burton or Schuster are the players we should be looking at.

I agree, Douehi at 6, Brooks at 7, stick with it, let's not chop and change, I think constant change creates more problems sometimes than it solves

Mbye or Kepoa at fullback with one of those and Talau, BJ as centres with a backup. Fingers crossed wingers are Nofo and JAC

It's not a bad backline, spend the offseason teaching Mbye to catch and BJ to tackle and it'll do fine

Yes but who is going to run the team - it sure ain't gonna be Flanagan.

Then there is the problem of his cheating old man - wouldn't want him near the place, not even by association.

Definitely,
It’s probably the best we can muster up with our squad.our shining light is that Kepoa and Talau are very young and hopefully improve further more next year.
The post Benji era could be a chance for someone else to step up.AD and Liddle will be huge for us if they stay injury free.
