22 is a bit old for a development player I would have thought

Broncos signed Tyson Gamble as a development player last year. I don’t think there is an age limit.

Never seen him but at 21, if madge was sold on him and strongly was in his plans would he not just sign him as a fulltime contract so he would be available from r1? Could be wrong as i. may not understand it fully.

Or , we have signed a few players already and have our squad looking full , and somehow this kid signed as a development contract , knowing come round 16 he’s as good as a full time squad member anyway .

He missed a full year of development this year. Playing some CC before NRL makes sense. Another Samoan in our ranks

Not sure on the notion that Staines is a must-get. Sure 4 tries on debut looks great on the resum`e but to be fair he ran a total of 30 metres if that to score 'em and pretty much had the line wide open on all. Haven't seen to much of him beyond that. Beware of throwing champion money at a newbie.

James Hooper (yes I know) is reporting Bulldogs want to throw upwards of $500k a season at Burton which is crazy money. He also said JAC is leaning towards joining bulldogs instead of us but he gave no real reason as to why.
