Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He’s never going to be a superstar who develops into an Origin player, but it would still suck to lose him. He’s hard as nails.

Yeah don’t see him being a top class forward but he probably would’ve played a role off the bench for us next year and he’s a solid player

If we do lose him then we will really need to sign a second rower because Garner might be gone too

Re JAC,L mitchell,Roberts etc. These are not the sharpest tools in the shed,Melbourne is not an NRL town and is a bubble, with strong guidlines, would JAC acheived the same in Sydney?Easts let LM go for a reason,- club culture. The outside influence of dubious friends on young minds can be a big influence.Madge is trying to bring good cuiture as in Easts and Storm.Because of Storms location it has been a blessing in disguise.Back to Sydney may not benefit some players.

What is good culture? I always believed leaders can lead all personality types.

Paws,if only that were true, but go through history and you will find that is not always the case.We have all seen players with great potential influenced by the wrong crowd and never seen again.

This may have been mentioned elsewhere but I believe Mansour is on decent money for next year (500+). Panthers are a club over flowing with young talent they need to keep. Surely he is much more valuable to Tigers if he sits in Panthers reserve grade chewing up cap and a roster spot then he his displacing AJ who arrived mid season and played well. The more pressure on their cap in 21 the more likely we get a release for Laurie, Burton or Naden or whoever we target.

Can someone please confirm young Zac Camroux is still with and will remain with WTs?

Nah mate, have been informed by him that he’s off to the Knights. Looks like the club has their eyes on Michael Tannous

Absolutely. There is a view among Panther supporters (I know four) that WTs will happily take him and relieve their cap issues. I say force them to release players they don't want to rather than Mansour.

Thanks. This is really disappointing.

It is a shame about Camroux. Hartigan is doing a great job but we really need a youth development manager like Matt Parish or the young mastermind Lee Malkoun. Both are great people managers and you wouldn't see future stars like Camroux leave if this was the case.

But he was signed for three years according to that article. Can someone explain how his departure is possible?

You don't always get to chose those you lead, but you are expected to lead nonetheless and perform.

They’re not really gonna deny a teenager playing Flegg if they ask for a release surely

That's true but if your statement was true, a good leader would never have to dismiss or sack anyone. A good leader also knows when someone doesn't have the ability, temperament, desire, want or personality to work towards those goals. Sometimes good leadership can overcome those things but sometimes it can not.

Thar's true, but in some organisations you don't have the option to dismiss them. That can be viewed as a failure of leadership. There are a number of variations but essentially it is 'there are no bad soldiers, but bad leadership'. I agree with this almost code.
