Am I reading this right, we are really worried about losing a 16yr old and a fringe first grader?

That is a little disparaging of the Camroux and McIntyre. There are quite a few supporters who take an interest in the progression of our juniors and young players. Camroux is one of our own very good juniors. McIntyre was one of the few shining lights in comparison to much more highly paid players in our squad such as Leilua, J, Mbye, Packer and Reynolds.

I have never seen Camroux play but I wonder if there would be as much angst if his name was Jones. The club nearly let him go once before and his dad got him back.


This is not about names etc its about the process of retaining our Junior talent. Mcintyre some say a fringe 1st grader but we all saw enough that he deserved a roster spot.
When we are meeting a player that has been at 4 clubs and known to have mental health issues and not sorting out his contract as a priority you have to wonder??????

As supporters we should also be passionate about retaining our Juniors, panthers have and they will now be a force in the next few years because of it.

Do Panthers not lose any juniors either? Where's Laurie rumoured to be going? Where's Blore?

Guaranteed we'll manage to lose Blore as well.

The club can't close a deal unless no one else wants the player. No doubt we'll re-sign Seyfarth and any other rubbish no one else wants.

Mcintrye is a bench player at best for a few years, not use throwing money etc at him. He’s certainly not on a pedestal. Not like his debut year was like Rudolph’s.

I believe the Club struggle to find a replacement for McIntyre. That is what I will be concerned about.

McIntyre is way better than Seyfarth, way better. I can’t believe they couldn’t see the potential in McIntyre and have just let him go! They will probably let Aloiai walk as well. We can’t afford to lose good forwards like this, our pack is weak enough as it is! There had better be something positive coming our way soon.

Don't think they let him go willingly they were gazumped. The Titans deal must have appealed to McIntyre or wouldn't have signed knowing he had the deal with WTs ready to go. Managers wheeling and dealing clubs against each other- it's become a dirty game.

We need to get with the program then and play dirtier. We are getting left way behind.

The development player Kelma ? from the Storm is a 13 and is 22. He may be a good player for us by chance?

I like your enthusiasm but gives you that confidence? Our recruitment of star players in their prime is akin to Shane Watson padding up on middle then calling for the TMO after getting struck below the knee roll.

If there is any truth in the story that Sam McIntyre's contract sat in a drawer for 2 weeks while we were off having coffee with Mansour and the Jet, then I'm absolutely devastated and have to ask myself why I keep renewing my membership while the same garbage just keeps on happening at this place.

We have cash to spend now in 2021 and a lot more in 2022. As much as we are not a “destination” club we are one of the few left without a recognised long term fullback on “fullback money” the next quality #1 that emerges we will be in the running. Between Packer and Reynolds we have $1.5m in salary cap currently sitting in reserve grade that will be available for 2022. I think over the next 12 months we will start to land some meaningful signings like a Chrighton or a JAC. We just have to keep picking the right names to go after and eventually $ will win out
