I don't reckon we can waste another year waiting for Brooks to step up TT. How many chances does he get? We need to get an experienced half NOW!

Who's available? Lets assume Cronk isn't.

No one really. Maybe england has a couple. Were stuck with him. At least its only 2 years. Funny how Nathan Cleary is available when the two years is up.

Tyrone Roberts is one name that is thrown around here.
Another I will offer, Todd Carney. He can play and if he is watched and mentored can lead a team to the finals. Now we won't be hiring Carney because he would block Nathan Cleary, but if Reynolds pulls out and stays with the Dogs I would not rule him out.
Ultimately we are looking at this wrong IMHO.
We can say lets recruit X.. but we are going "we like this guy" or " we see this guy score tries"…
The real value is in the players that Ivan Cleary goes "this guy could be good if he did this thing differently... he is a 200K player now but I know how to make him 300-400.. lets go for him".

@ said:If manly are having cap problems, I would consider Cameron Cullen. He would not be on a big contract and seems to have plenty of ability

Imagine if Benji came back as well…
Hopefully he can come back and get a role at the club once he retires.
Him & Benji took unders to stay at the club and keep it under the cap.
I truly doubt that.
Farah took less a few years ago to help keep some at Tigers but the end result was a heavily backended contract, the result of which we are witnessing now.
Benji was given a verbal figure by our previous CEO that did not get final board approval with the result of Benji throwing a tantrum, signing with NZRU, parading in a RU jersey while still playing for the Wests Tigers and ending up in the Qld Cup.
Frankly I don't want either of them back here, in any capacity.

Robbie and Benji were both overpaid and that caused massive issues for the team to develop a top quality squad. The has continued to this day with the big 4 being massively overpaid.
Hopefully this never occurs again.

Amen to that!

@ said:You've got to wonder if Farah regrets his decision to sign with Souths… He's no longer a one club player, he got overlooked for origin, his team missed the finals, and he's sharing the hooker duties with someone that most souths fans think is better than him.
He should've gone to England, picked up his retirement package, and returned as the prodigal son to a role with the Tigers, forever remembered as a one club legend.
Ahh, the benefit of hindsight...
